I went to UCSD in 1978-1980 when I transferred to UCSB. I've been to LA Jolla many times back then. Used to go snorkeling down at the Cove. Rode my 10 speed down from campus to Prospect and back a number of times. It used to be very exclusive and expensive but livable. In the past 44 years, it has gotten so congested that parking is bad. Prospect is full of tacky trickent stores and t shirt shops. It used to have lots of quiet restaurants and even inexpensive places for the locals like The Boll Weevil burger shop in downtown LJ and The Soup Exchange on Torrey Pines Road. No more. Just pricey watering holes, congested traffic, and multi million dollar homes packed cheek to jowl. If I could afford it, I wouldn't spend my dollar there. Too trashy from the nouveau riche. The shopping at UTC is OK. I used to to the skating rink and have a pizza with college buds. LA Jolla Village Square has changed so much. It used to be an indoor mall. But now it's sort of confusing with what it became. Schools? Never mentioned UCSD, one of the best national colleges and universities in the country. UCSD Medical School, School of Biological Sciences, The Salk Institute, The Scripps Institute of Oceanography, all world famous. Now, UCSD has branched out into international political studies in the Pacific region with outstanding schools for learning international securities, trade policies, and economic trends in the Far East

The only "cons" about living in La Jolla are 99 percent of everyone cannot afford to live there. So I guess you're addressing the other 1%?

Very informative Video.... The Price of Home is high, but at least it's not as much as Vancouver and the Climate is much better than in Vancouver Canada... definitely I am considering to move there.
