When I got my Mountain Fly I got the center mod with pole. Reason: the thing is big... huge... it's a sail. I've been through some very strong winds where the center pole and tie outs helped tremendously. So, anyone thinking about this tarp who may anticipate camping in high-wind areas should consider this center mod. But... LOVE this tarp.

I’ve used this set up in very high winds. The internal mods came around after I got this. I have considered sending it in for the center pole as it is a Superior design. Thanks for watching!

I use the MiniFly in summer and the Superfly in Winter. Really like these tarps. I use a Dream hammock sparrow with Hammack gear quilts. One day I may switch to dyneema fly with doors but I doubt it. I have used the mini in all sorts of inclement rainy weather without any issues. I really like the mountain fly as it a blend between the big and the mini. Nice video.

Great video. Cool setup. I use a similar pair. A HG Quest for quick setup w/ LineLocs. Then I rigged up a Winter tarp with a HG Journey for wetter/windy weather.
