A full Let's Play RimWorld Ideology 1.3 playthrough with the Transhumanist meme. This is played on the hardest difficulty, Losing is Fun, bumped up to 500%, against Cassandra, and not using pause or mods (aside from the mod that makes it so I can't pause etc).

This playthrough was recorded LIVE on Twitch. As such, Adam is speaking with chat throughout. Videos without chat will be listed as 'KZfaq Exclusive'. This is the ENTIRE playthrough, so there will be some episodes in which not much happens, that's just the nature of unedited RimWorld.
*No Pause - Adam is using a mod that disables pause in every portion of the game. This means it is impossible for him to pause with a key press and the game will not pause during events or trade, making things much more difficult.
** Losing is Fun set to +500% is the hardest difficulty in unmodded RimWorld
***Cassandra Classic is the most consistently difficult storyteller, but is more predictable than Randy Random and cannot be as hard as him if you get bad Randy RNG.
**** Lost Tribe is a scenario in which you begin with 5 tribals, some supplies, and 3 random pets. This scenario has very slow research by default.

WE used to have a BIG GOOD music festival at a wind turbine park. It was ccalled the "Eolica Electronic Festival" in Tenerife. The floor of the turbines are natural medium size rocky formations that cover the wind, it was illuminated in electronicc colours with very nice light displays and mega screens, had like 3 stages for live concecrts and 3 bars, nice music in the paths between the concerts... It was a good festival, not as good as the one celebrated at the sand beach but still good, the wind turbines gave ambient and a different place

Fun thing I thought of after hearing about the "terms" you introduced from WoW (and yes, I remember those days). In modern Chinese culture, a "wizard" is an old, male virgin. Make it to 40 and you get to be a "Grand Wizard"

Nice work with the breach raids on no pause! Too bad about the power supply. Damn. Vertigo pulse and skip are pretty good casts, but so hard to use on no pause. On pause you can skip pirates into their own comrade's grenades.

Skip is such a versatile psycast, but definitely harder to utilize on no pause. I also really like Vertigo pulse.

4:54 Power Cell is not connected to the grid. I noticed you forgot to connect your power cells in 2 of your 3 colonies in Archonexus Ending run as well, so I decided to mention it now. Looking forward to see how this run pans out!

Was familiar with both of the terms Twinking, Generally went with Smurfing instead since it's essentially the same thing, but just with gear.

Someone that mods the game tested and posted the in game percentages for mid-to-late game major threat events and the average %chance of a center dropod raid was something like 1.2%, lol ... it's crazy.

Mechs: FUCK THIS BED IN PARTICULAR @1:21:00 Nutrifungus doesn't appear to be as a crop available to blight events (as of 1.3.3389) Daylilies, roses, dandelions, and all trees except cocoa also do not qualify for crop blight events. Fibercorn does.

just the amount of breach raid is ridiculous, I really wanted to like 1.3 and Ideology, but the spam of base destructing raids and the lack luster ending (wich betrays the ''story generator'' premise of the game, don't get me started) I really feel like this update really did more bad than good. Still, if you ignore the ending and mod the breachers out, sappers and Siege already do what breachers were supposed to, I really like the more cosmetic and rp side of this dlc, if only it was more thought out... I won't stop watching your lets play or play the game, but man I still feel a bit disapointed with this update.

But well let’s be honest, breachers are probably the only challenging threat once you reach mid game. I wish they can add more challenging raid types or at least make droppod raid as often as breachers

I'm disappointed as well. Not really liking with the "now with more evil!" focus and am also disappointed with the archonexus end game. It seems as slapped together as the original (although the royalty quest is nothing great, either). There are so many fun ways to make a challenging three-part quest and "restart twice without research or your pawns" isn't a fun rp. You basically betray your colonies by selling them to a different ideology. That kind of poor storytelling is acceptable when an indie company is trying to get their first product out the door, not so much when they've made tens of millions on the game. I would have much rather seen more attention paid to relationships between the characters. I've had at least 15 of my original 35 colonists turn up in raids on colonies 2 and 3 -and the wife of one of my five showed up as a visitor twice- and there was nothing I could do except kill them or ignore them. Where the hell is the rp in that? If they'd put 1/100 of the effort they put into slavery into a system where you could call out to former colonists and get a chance to convince them to rejoin you it would be storytelling. Instead it's "oh, there's another great pawn from my first colony. I guess I fucked him over so bad that he's trying to kill me."

I think there are a lot of different raids they could do pretty easily, like a combination of sappers and siegers, or melee units that bring their own attack animals (what are you gonna do when 50 guinea pigs trip your traps, or ten rhinos start pounding down the walls?). I miss drop raids, too. Haven't had a single one yet on this run. Not many mech clusters, either.

After playing 3-4 full playthroughs of Ideology, I mostly agree. Also, as far as people mentioning breachers being the only difficult raid in mid-to-late game, I don't find them that difficult at that point. Breach raids at max raid points are half or less strength of a normal raid. So, even at max points you generally only get like 7-9 centipedes and a sprinkling of other things. Pretty easy to gun down if you pull over to the side, use a low shield, berserk, etc. I'd much rather a breach raid than an all scyther drop into my barracks on 3x speed and no pause or such. I won't reiterate the ending discussion as I already talked about it a ton, but the archonexus thing has definitely been the most disappointing bit of the expansion for me. It seems so obvious how they could have made it a ton better. Tynan's vision for RimWorld is for it to be a story generator, the Archonexus ending could have been a great conduit for some awesome and varied stories, but instead it's 'sell a 350k colony 3 times then click a button' *poof* you ascended, or not, whatever you think happened is fine.

@@AdamVsEverything Drop pod raids can only be 30% the size though. I think they are mainly threatening because you can't pause. I find breach raids far more difficult to deal with than anything that goes through a killbox. Though having to fight outside (mech cluster/psychic ships) is even harder. The archonexus ending is definitely boring. By the third playthrough, I was just hoping it was over.

Wait what. I didnt even know there is a Meaning for Twink outside Games. Am I so Old ??? Having a Twink with High Level Equipment on lvl 1 given to him by your Main Character or Guild Mates was Hilarious xD I mean come on. How can People not know that. Its the Reason why Nowdays Games always put Level and Stat Requirements on Items so that People cant do that anymore ^^

I wonder why none of your live viewer tell you about the no corpse ideology you are currently at.. and you could write all the basic info like, what you start with, current run number, so you dont have to answer the easy question all the time..

I think I explained in a different comment chain as well as on stream, but, basically I don't like butchering humanlike unless we super need to (like people dying of hunger soon or such) early game. Human leather is a ton of wealth. We could always destroy the human leather afterward when we eventually have the means (dumping it in water works but we could get a raid hit with all that material wealth before it is rotted enough). As far as the other things you mentioned, those were already commands on the bot/chat. I have the overlay set up so that it does not show commands and messages from the bot, but those things already exist (and did so during this playthrough). Still, though, I don't mind answering the questions when I see them.
