Just an FYI, because of so many people complaining about the d-pad, Razer added a pivot to the d-pad and it is much better now. But good luck trying to find one. According to a fightpad video from Chachironi (in his 2022 Fightpad In-Depth Review), S/N barcodes that start with PM2052 are the newer version of the fightpad with the fixed d-pad. I think you can find them on Amazon if you buy them new from Razer, but I'm not sure how to do that. I got lucky and found one from a seller with the PM2052 barcode.

Hey FC! So I just discovered something about the Razer Raion. I recently bought a replacement Raion after botching a pivot mod and being unable to fix it for reasons. I learned a couple days ago that there is a revision with a pivot out in the wild. My new Raion has this pivot...only realized this when I saw I couldn't press the entire d-pad down in the center. It is MUCH better on this one than the original releases, and works like a dream!

Excellent video! I already ordered this controller. The main reason is the accurate diagonals (on my PS4 pad it is impossible to do them consistently,). Anyway, I also noticed that you said this controller has a problem with half circular motion and I think it is because it works exactly the same as a stick. My friend told me that when he was using a stick it was veeeery hard for him to do a half circular motion, not to mention the full circular motion on a stick, for a first month, and it was still hard for him later on. So... what I want to say is, that it looks just as a tradeoff. You get precise inputs but will have a hard time learning how to do efficiently half circular motions and full circular motion. I am very curious about my first impressions when I get my hands on Raion, because half circular motion, at first, were hell for me even on PS4 pad.

You have such a nice tone to ur voice and it works really well with these types of videos. I've been using the PowerA Fusion Wired Fightpad on my PS5 and just downloading the PS4 version of any PS5 only fighting games I have atm but with PS5 only games like SF6 coming I need a new fightpad and can't decide what to get. The PowerA Fusion Wired Fightpad is absolutely amazing I just can't fault it other than it has no button for the touchpad which in old game collections like the Capcom Fighting Collection for example that button is used as the way of moving between the games and getting to the selection menu so I have to log into a PS5 controller if I want to change games or modes but other than that it has the best D Pad and layout and works for everything. I was thinking about the Octa since your video of the Victrix put me off buying that but do you think after SF6 gets released we will see another wave of new PS5 fightpads ?

You have a great tune and videos but the frames clicks sound always through off the calm vibe that you giving. If you can make it silent that would be better, where just the logo shows - or don’t add the logo at all and just jump right in with the video - I think that’s better overall !! Great work !! Keep it up !!

do you think that a custom pivot would fix the dpad for you? I just bought one for 25 euros but I think it is the version without a pivot

I've never had an issue with the lack of a pivot. I have a few missed inputs here and there but 90% of the time no issue and when there are issues its my fault. I just had to adjust to it a bit. But I play setsuka in SCVI and she has a lot of motion inputs, and izuna drops in doa5/6 aren't an issue. I can't play kof though lol those inputs are too hard to hit with my factory default raion but only with kof. I might try to put a pivot in if I can find a backup pad to use in case I mess up. My issue with the raion is the buttons actually I always end up hitting multiple buttons if im flustered and when I do like an aB slide(quick input of square to triangle) I accidentally hit the r1 input on the face or B+K(triangle+circle) ill accidentally hit all 4 main buttons or something. It's kinda my fat fingers fault but I never had that problem with my powera fusion. Bottom line is I'd buy a raion again if mine broke. I love the damn thing

You can buy the omniarcade pivot made specifically to fix this issue, you're to put it under the dpad,give us an update when u have it please

The reason you got missed input because the dpad doesn't have pivot in it. So if you slide your thumb through the center of dpad, it will click all the buttons and put you back to neutral, thus why the missing input. It is quite baffling how Razer missed this fatal issue. Also, the controller seems to have more input lag compared to DS4/5 and 8bitdo controller. It's just a shame, coz they have put some high quality buttons inside, but the controller just failed in other vital areas.
