@@infotechsailorThis is probably a bit harsh man but you sound clueless. Based on his very short description it sounds like she was into his lifestyle. That’s obviously based on very limited information. However I’m going to take a guess that a guy with enough funds to relocate out west, who owns more than one rather new vehicle (both 60k$ + vehicles and that’s a low ball), and a nice camper along with a house. Who also has multiple, rather expensive, hobbies in which he owns high end equipment for could probably afford a family just fine. It seems his career choice is stable enough to afford things a little above the average. You go on with yourself working your 9-5 to shape into the the guy every women wants to use to fund her and her kids from her last husband that’s still slapping them cheeks while you’re at work. Tucker: From a 75 year old fan, retired military, fellow pilot, and battle scarred veteran of many relationship wars before the right one came along…if I may offer some insight. You’re a talented, intelligent, good looking young man with drive. From what I can tell, you’re a nice guy too. Don’t settle! Don’t short change yourself, don’t compromise. The right one will come along and when she does you won’t have to “work AT it.” You’ll work FOR it. The distinction is hard to explain but I think you’ll know when you get there. I sure did. Have fun! Pursue your dreams and goals! You know, I have few complaints but if I were to live my life over again, I’d be watching Tucker Gott for inspiration. Best wishes in your travels, hopes and dreams. If you’re ever in the Central Florida area, I’d be pleased to come watch you fly. - Butch W.

Dude. I was 22. Never as cool as you but, spent my whole life in California and wrapped deeply into a situationship for over 2 years at the time that felt like my destiny. While I still felt so connected to home I was offered a job in TX I couldn't pass up that has paved the way for the next close to a decade of my life. I still thought about that girl for 2 more years after moving from home, and ruined some good things along the way. But I'm 30 now. And honestly moving away from anything and everything I had ever been around for the first 2 decades of my life has time and time again been exactly what I needed to be a better man. Even if the first year or so is hard...sticking it out will reward you in ways you never imagined. I started watching your YT channel a few months after moving away from California for that job and honestly it was one of the only things that felt I like could get my mind off of wanting to pack up my car and go right back home. I'll probably never set seat in a paramotor or do anything half as cool, but taking the leap in a lot of ways you're about to, was the best decision of my life. I wish you all the best. If it ever gets hard, escape to the sky for the rest of us.

You are not alone Tucker. I’m leaving Maine where I have lived forever. After 30 years of marriage my wife decided to cheat on me for the third time and I asked her to leave. We live very close to each other now, but I still love her and I can’t live like this anymore. I’m selling my house and I will probably move to Fla. it’s easy for people who tell you to get over it. But we both know it’s not that easy. Good luck with your move and stay safe.

@@tmonster2247 Fathers getting custody over the wife is a thing that is starting to change from what I've seen, I think the court will let the children decide to an extent, but I imagine the behavior of the parents also matters (a wife cheating on the husband 3 times would be a factor for sure).

I just moved out after 6 years, 14 year old step daughter, cat family and all. It's the hardest thing I've ever done, and it feels impossible to move on. This is all completely raw, last few weeks, but I've found that I spiral if I focus on what I lose, and I manage if I focus on what I gain. I'm scared as all hell at venture fourth, but I know it's the best thing for everyone. Unfortunately it's winter here in VT, I'm broke beyond belief, and my career needs a jump-start, but I'll manage. I really wish I could mountain bike, swim, etc, to keep my head clear, but unfortunately I can't, and snowboarding is far too expensive for me right now. Treadmill, pushups and whatever else it is! To new chapters, maybe I'll get to sky dive or paramotor in this one!

@@TuckerGottOptimism is such a great quality, but speaking from personal experience, please don’t let yourself get trapped in hoping she’ll come to her senses and appear in your life again. I’ve been there, and all it does is prolong your suffering while still letting someone else have control over your emotions and future. I wasted years of the prime of my life in that slump. If YOU want this and would commit to it, but it’s not happening, then it’s not you who is causing the split. It hurts unbelievably, but you have to draw a line in the sand for your own emotional protection and independence. If she ever shows up again, you might find that you see things from a new perspective after your reclaim yourself, and thank the stars that you didn’t end up together. Or maybe you won’t. But you can’t let yourself live hoping for something that already ended, or you will miss out on everything else. I know it sucks profoundly and hurts worse than anything ever has, but maybe you can learn from my mistakes and not waste your entire 30s like I did.

Sorry for all the writing, but one more thing: when you get stuck in this on-again, off-again cycle like you described, it creates a trauma bond. The constant “now I have her, now I don’t” creates a toxic need, and an up and down cycle of depression and elation that you get stuck inside, very much like a drug. I have been there, and I know it’s hard to believe because our own experiences feel so strong that it seems like nobody else could’ve ever endured it. Don’t trust the magnitude of what you’re feeling from this as “love”-a lot of it could be the passion and suffering of having something you want ripped away from you repeatedly. It feels like love because you want it SO BADLY, but what it really is is suffering, and wanting to succeed in a chase you can never win.

Speaking from the experience of other family members, so many visit Arizona in the winter, love the place for various reasons, then move there. What you need to do is visit in the period of May - August. For people who have not grown up in the SW, folks, it is HOT. Until you experience it, you have no idea how debilitating that can be, in so many ways. My grandparents retired from NJ and moved to Tuscon, having only visited during the winter months the friends who talked them into it. Their life was living in an air-conditioned (very nice) house, driving to the covered mall in an air-conditioned Buick, and walking the air-conditioned mall for exercise. I've been there many times over nearly 50 years, and I love to visit, even thought the relatives are all gone, but summer is for the lizards. So, move in November, but don't't start house-hunting until you have lived through at least one summer. Put air-conditioning in your toy trailer.

If your grandparents were from NJ, then i'm sure they're well accustomed to HUMIDITY haha the silent killer of the east. I've lived in Tucson my whole life. Cold winters stink. You may be used to them and don't think twice about them, but to those of us who didn't grow up with them, they are unbearable. I happily take the heat we have here over cold winters. But that's not even a fraction of the issues that Tucson does not have to endure. We don't have high humidity here, so even though the thermometer looks horrifically high, it's not nearly as bad as you might think because the moisture isn't there. Don't get me wrong, I hide inside for 2 1/2 months when the sun is out, but I spend lots of time outside in the early mornings and after the sun has set. One other thing is that we have few flying insects, like mosquitoes and gnats. I've been to places in the summer that were more thermally comfortable than Tucson, but I was eaten alive by blood sucking insects. That is an issue that doesn't get nearly enough talk. And we don't have to shovel snow here, or worry about slipping on ice.

Good advice. I wrote basically the same thing and then started reading other comments. I'm from the north and my parents have a place in the Phoenix area. I always visit around Christmas and the weather is so perfect. I came down in August this year and it was like walking into hell. 110 to 115 every day. Just going to the grocery store was miserable. Hey Tucker, I’ve been there. For me, it was 8 years. Neither of us wanted it to end that way, but it was unfixable. I also had a madly-in-love passion that ended horribly prior to that one. I won’t blow smoke up your butt and say it gets easier quickly, because it doesn’t. It hurts for a really, really long time. *The only way out of it is through it.* I do have one piece of advice though: don’t fall into the trap of feeling so dismayed by how things worked out that you lose yourself and abandon your ideals. When you go through something like this, it’s easy to feel like your whole sense of identity is gone, and also easy to feel the “eff it!” mentality where you start making bad decisions because you’re angry at the world and just don’t care anymore. Don’t let that happen-the deeper a hole one digs for themself, the harder it is to get back out. And when new opportunities come along, you still want to be the best version of yourself, so you can fully take advantage of your future. Also, hang onto your friends and family, they are your rocks. You really learn who the most valuable people are in your life when you think back to who has consistently been there. Best of luck from someone who has also been through the meat grinder and still thinks about it daily. Life will be different, but if you get your head in the right place, there are still lots of things to make it worthwhile.

We all care about you and a lot of us have the same feelings and experiences in love and in life and hearing that it is shared, its powerful. Wishing you the best in which ever direction you go. And know that Our hearts go with you.

I think the best thing you can do...is that whatever you do... *DO FOR YOU!* And the funny part is, you just know both those girls will be watching and by the time they figure out you were quite the catch, it'll be lost chances for both of them! Stay true to yourself and never forget there are so many deserving young women out there - and I'm thinking it would be ideal if whoever she is - loves to fly and do youtube and you guys will be another power couple on here! Sharing your lives to inspire others, etc. Merry Christmas young man. You've got the world by the short hairs! *OWN THOSE BISCUITS!*

Tucker... Loooong time sub, I encourage you to take the leap. It's hard to leave what you know behind, but I can assure you that there is no worse feeling than regretting an opportunity not taken. We all love and lose, that's just the way life goes. One day you'll find the one and I'm guessing she's somewhere in the Southwest. Go find her dude, don't think about it, do it. In the meantime, Aviate, Navigate, Communicate.

Hate to hear your leaving Jersey but I totally get it. If I didn’t have my career here I’d have ran to Florida by now with my family. It’s just more conducive to my outdoor lifestyle of boating and paramotoring. I wish you the best Tucker: I hope you start a school out there that would be awesome for beginners and advanced pilots. But whatever venture you get into I wish you the best and know you’ll succeed. You’ll Def gonna have create some epic content out there. But know this…you’ll always be one of the few that did Jersey proud! It’s a tough state to admit we’re from for sure due to shitty stereotypes. But you inspired me to get into paramotoring, and travel north to a part of Jersey I never knew - a place I’d fall in love with so much to get engaged to my wife in a hot air balloon. It was great bumping into at PHL last month for a quick catch-up! Please visit often brother…onward and upward to the next adventure, cheers!

Now is the time! Once you're well into your 30s, this sort of upending of your life becomes less and less doable. By 40, most people are where they're going to be. That isn't to say starting over is impossible when you're older, but it is MUCH more difficult. I'm 44 and meeting new friends at my age is quite the rare occurrence. Everyone is married with kids and we all live in our own little bubbles. My friends are almost entirely people I met in my 20s.

I've always wondered what happened between Tucker and Jackie. She was always there involved with his paramotoring. From the vids it looked like the two had the perfect life going on together. Although I noticed that she wouldn't tag along whenever tucker did a long distance travel video. IDK, people change and they were both young at the time. Honestly I'm still kind of shocked how much Tucker changed in appearance in the last 5 years or so. He was a thin shaggy haired guy who looked like a skater type. Now he's got a stash, bulked out, and to me looks more like a Firefighter type. lol.

She and Tucker did do a long trip together in the Van-mobile. All she said in one of her videos was that the break up was "a long time coming." No details from either of them, which I can respect, even though I was really curious.

I may be wrong, but I got some impression looking at them even when they were together. She looks like she got last flames of her youth and gonna be pretty old and mature very soon and this lite irresponsible way of life will not suit her any more. Like she needs to become a mother, housewife or something. Tucker could fool around for many more years, but she doesn't look like having that energy and desire for that, so she'd probably find and build a more serious responsible relationship with someone while she still can. I don't think that everyone must go for that family life. But somehow she doesn't look like she have that much interest in paramotoring or that lite lifestyle. It's like that moment in "The Spectacular Now (2013)" When she says "I want the future". Like she isn't happy just being together doing stupid things, like somehow she feels the gravity to pursue that boring serious responsible life like having kids, taking job and career seriously, all that boring stuff.
