JW was a great pick ❤ . Only 19 with so much offensive potential upsides to add to his bag 💼. Raptors development will strengthen his defense , spacing , passing forward to complement Scottie and rj and play a combo guard/forward

He can definitely create his own shot, he’s dynamic from MidRange, however it’s his ball handling that can hold him back creation-wise. If he can improve that side of his game, and avoid getting beat by more quick athletic guards he’ll be a really solid player.

Good height, good athleticism, scorer. Now the negatives, not great on handles, passing, shot selection. Don't tell me he is a great shooter with 37% in college. Remember, he was passed up and dropped to 19. Hope that he matures to be a good rotational piece like Cam Whitmore.

why did the Rap pick 19th over all? Didn't the Raps finish the season at the bottom of the league standing at 25th? This would make them pick the 5 or 6th. Did I miss something?

The raptors traded their own 1st round pick to the spurs in the Jakob deal which ended up being the 8th pick this year. This 19th pick was formerly indianas that we obtained in the pascal trade this year

Both Masai and Darko said they don’t want 3 draft picks. That’s why we traded our other first round pick to the Jazz.

JKW is just another GTJ - a spot shooter, with no handle, no playmaking ability, and no defense. Kolek is the key pick at 31.

He is not even close to the same player as GTJ. Much better shot creator and off the dribble/moving shooter. Way better athlete. High potential as a defender. The dude has the tools to be great as a defender and as a 3-level scorer. Embraces physicality and is not a good playmaker right now, but already better than GTJ.

@@Veggamattic Caboclo is also 5 inches taller buddy, your statement makes no sense. My point is having that wing span as a guard is a huge asset. He does play D, maybe do some more scouting lol. He was also projected to go in the lottery, best player available. Barnes and Dick worked out pretty well so far so I’ll trust Masai and the professionals

@@danieldemaria1370 Wingspan is a bonus for all players but many with big wingspans have busted. You can't use that as a skill. He only has 1 NBA level skill and even that is debatable at 34% 3pt shooting because he CAN NOT DEFEND. I don't need to do more scouting...i promise I know more than you do. I saw at least 50 mock drafts and I know what others think but I don't use that to make my opinions. I have a mock as well and he is 29th. Mogbo was 27th. I don't need to follow other people's opinions...I have watched hoops seriously for 50+ years and do some consulting for the 905. I know my stuff and have my own opinions.

Nothing happened to trade up as predicted ...hmmmm so much for Masai and all this hype. We are likely going to be stuck selling off Poetl and Brown at DEEP DEEP discouints. We needed draft capital and didn't get it. We needed it this year not in 1 or 2 or 3 years out because by the time that talent comes in our solid core will be getting old/maybe injured etc.
