i think developement should be prioritized more than winning or losing. saying that, whoever is not part of our futre should be traded asap (i.e bruce brown and poeltl) cuz we need to give someone like gradey dick and our new guys the most minutes possible.
@PabloSkawer16 сағат бұрын
The current roster + a top 6 pick this year (Edgecomb, Bailey, Harper, Traoré...) is a contender in 2 years. I say try to compete until All Star then tank while resting BBQ and giving heavy minutes to Gradey, Ja'Kobe and Chomche (hopefully Koloko to)

I will say the trust the process is more of Ben Simmons fault vs jojos fault. The sixers had a really good team with jimmy and jojo. Simmons and Harris really screwed thrm

This is what i've been saying. They're putting players in an awkward position. NBA careers are short. Players have a smaller window of time to get a championship done than organizations themselves.
@PhoTimeFamJam19 сағат бұрын
You gotta mention Chomche’s positioning as he burst to the other end before anyone! His speed is hella fast for a big man too!

Why is it Your Job to tell the Raptors who to start. This is not basketball related. Its more about looks. Thats what it seems to me Why would they pay 23 million to a player if he cant start. Why would they try to sabotage a player in contract year for Gradey.

Would love to see Toronto do the same thing Oklahoma City did last year they can do it with the right mind set

Play in for what. Develop the young players, get to January, see where they are, and decide on the approach for the trade deadline then
@gregorymcfarlane687923 сағат бұрын
Bro the Raptors are going through the playoffs this season I promise you that. This year if the Raptors put this young man in Rotation Ulrich Chomche and brenson carlson I like these two kats. Ulrich is fast and with Scottie eyes for the floor we are going to be just fine.
@issackumar9395Күн бұрын
The focus is to be as best as we can be and play our young guys. With the team we have I don’t think we will be a playoff team just yet I think 10-12 seed. But this season should be all about seeing the talent we have so that way we can build a proper foundation

This upcoming season is way better than last season. No one seems look at last season in it's parts, just as a whole. Part 1 - Pre-OG Trade Part 2 - Post-OG trade to Pre-Pascal trade Part 3- Post-Pascal trade to trade deadline Part 4 - Post-Trade deadline to Scottie Injury Part 5 - Post Scottie Injury -Before the season we signed Dennis, hoping he'd be a team player, and he declared himself the leader. -We went into media thinking Koloko was the backup Centre. -Pascal not trying early on, OG later on -We find Jontay Porter, who was interesting, and then lose him to a gambling scandal. -We trade for RJ and IQ, who were coming off an extended road trip with the Knicks, play 1 home game on New Years day, and then they're back on the road, trying to fit into a system that had Pascal. -Then Pascal gets traded, and roles shift again.

@@lionseatfirstsportsent5971 did you watch last season? Or just wait for the final result? I really am curious. This is exactly as I saw it.
@lionseatfirstsportsent59719 сағат бұрын
@SP.007 yes I nearly watched all 82 games.. all you did was mention the highlights of the season... there was no relevance. The same thing you said could be found on Wikipedia... You're also forgetting these guys professions... they are basketball players! IQ and RJ coming here was a boast for there careers.. you make it seem like it was a hardship to be traded a day before a road trip.. but hey what does road trips do??? They boast morale.. you're forced to be with the team.. raptors trade right before the trip was a great decision it forces guys to be together get to know one another.. again you make it seem like a hardship... I like to call you an optimistic person.. sir raptors won't win more than 35 games next year and we can bet on it if you want .....??

Even if key injuries happen and they start trading guys like Jakob Poeltl and Bruce Brown before the trade deadline. I still don't see them tanking in the second half like last season.
@altrock17Күн бұрын
I don't think they've made it clear yet since we still have Poeltl. We'll know 100% by the time the trade deadline hits. They're in an 'observe and evaluate period' rn

try for the first 30 games... If we can't get more than 12 or 13 wins, pack it in and tank.

If they keep Darko then yes the season will be full tank mode. He is the worst coach in franchise history.

The East is not great. However, our division is great except Brooklyn. So 12-4 in our Atlantic games 1 win vs top three 3-1 vs Brooklyn. This team since KLow plays down to competition and plays well but loses at the end of games vs very good teams. I start BB to keep his trade value as high as possible. Even is BB plays 25 MPG and Gradey plays 23 (more than last year and if he plays 75+ games that is way more) you get good development there and when you trade BB it should be for SF or C depending on CK return possibility. After the trade there is more time for both GD & JKW

i see this season as an evaluation of the roster seeing who fits the teams direction and who doesnt
@wainber120 сағат бұрын
There’s no doubt this season should be about which players do and don’t fit the Raptors’ direction. Rebuilds can take time, but hopefully this one won’t end up like the one of the Ottawa Senators of the NHL (7 straight seasons with no playoff appearance, with it TBD whether this coming NBA-NHL season will be #8).

I think the Raptors tried to "squeeze all the juice" they could out of that 2021 to 2023 core. I think with Siakam, OG, and Schroeder as our best players we werent gonna do much. Especially after Fred left for nothing. I've been calling for this rebuild for a while

I think one good move for a wing or forward that can shoot and is at least a decent defender and at least some type of further improvement from Scottie (hopefully IQ Barrett and gradey to🤞) would make them a definite playoff team.
