I think this was staged. The Oscars hit a historic low last year and energetically they felt that irrelevance growing, so this was definitely a comeback moment for the Academy. And not to mention there are some other things interconnected to Will receiving his very first Oscar despite having tried to boycott the Oscars back in 2016. His humiliation on national tv was the greatest clap back in response to his outcry years ago which was followed by a tearful apology and not to Chris Rock either, interesting… Just remember, everything in Hollywood is always connected to some deeper meaning.

Will laughed at the joke & then in a matter of seconds lost his mind so that makes no sense. Chris Rock is a comedian same as Ricky Gervais who says things 10 x worse at the golden globes. When Will was on Fresh Prince he constantly said degrading jokes at the expense of others ie: the bald uncle. So sick of these double standards. Celebrities need to stop being hypocrites & stop being so self righteous. If they are so fragile, dont go to the Oscar's, stay home! Chris handled that like a true champ! 👏👌 Also its so degrading to hear ppl justify violence by saying they did it because they love & protect their woman (as if woman can't fend for themselves)... NO! People who resort to that behaviour only care about themselves & their pride!!

The big difference about a celebrity doing that and a regular person is that a regular person would go to jail for assulting someone. Chris was just joking and he didn't deserve to be hit, also Will laughed at the joke before he smacked Chris.

A regular person would be called abusive and bully if they teased a sick woman with alopecia or cancer or any physically deformation, especially in a loud public manner - but on national TV?! What kind of example and standard of behavior is THAT?!

@@tlvance3973 I didn't realize comedy was a crime now. Still, Will should have handled it better and if you look at the clip you'll see that HE WAS LAUGHINH TOO. Anyways Chris is a gentle soul he never meant anything horrible behind the joke.

Chris is a comedian and he tells jokes. But maybe he doesn't understand the sensitivity of a woman after losing her hair. It's not a joke. Both men were wrong in their own way. However, Jada is still a beautiful woman. Ijs

Cut it out with this “women are sensitive” BS. Will is bald too he just covers it up. He also dyes his greys. Will is more sensitive about being bald than Jada. Men can be just as sensitive about losing their hair as any woman. Just look at Lebron’s fight against the inevitable for all of these years. Lebron has had to deal with bald/hairline jokes for basically his whole adult life but nobody would ever condone him slapping someone despite the fact that he’s obviously sensitive about it. You can’t be serious with this silliness. Will was wrong period. There’s no both sides.

My daughter developed alopecia when she was 5 years old. Kids in kindergarten teased her (she still gets teased and she’s 12) that she has cancer and is dying. Due to such extreme bullying has left my daughter suicidal, body dysmorphia etc. Years of counseling has not helped. Hair loss is not something to joke about. If anyone is reading this can could help my daughter, we would be forever grateful. My daughter has been knocked out by the knees due to her illness and the backlash from people she’s received. I understand Will’s anger. I have been there many times when my daughters been humiliated and disrespected. Seeing the hurt behind my daughters eyes…. If you don’t know someone’s struggle don’t bring them down. If you don’t have nothing nice to say- don’t say it! My heart breaks how my 12 year old is constantly being made fun of for her hair loss and her alopecia. No one deserves being hurt.

@@truarnett5519 thank you and I showed my daughter this. Amber would like to thank you for your kind words. She wishes you a blessed day. Amber has a big heart and she is only 12. Chris went too far n if Will wouldnt have defended her he wouldve been scrutinized for that so i think he was more than justified in slapping him n furthermore Chris is lucky thats all he got!
