I lived in Laredo for 18 years and I’ve been downtown many times, the Outlets is one of the most popular places to go in Laredo since there’s almost nothing to do there, everyone who’s from Laredo understands. But that “hood” isn’t bad at all, you can walk all over the place yourself and nothing would ever happen to you. Even as a kid my friends and I felt safe enough to run around downtown and waste our time in the Outlets. Really the only thing you’d have to be careful for is a car hitting you accidentally 💀 but even that is extremely unlikely as there isn’t much traffic in Laredo. Sure it isn’t the best place to grow up in since there’s very little things to do, but it isn’t a dangerous nor bad place.

Best example being you're more likely to be mugged in Philly and Chicago by some street hood. Whereas in Laredo if you mind your own business, respect others and don't act like a bitch, you're less likely to be fucked with.. All in all Laredo is still like the wild west. Ever been to Zapata? There's nothing special here other than the gas prices in SYT looking like California's for some reason or another, best place here to eat is El Rincon de Los Angeles, for quick food to eat go to stripes, for tacos its either Augies or Taco John's, it's not a amazing town but its my small town thats pretty chill, the sheriffs won't bug ya, just pull you over if they see ya and aren't from around the area but they don't care one bit as long as you ain't flying down 83 or 16 like if it a drag strip or suspect you of smuggling, they're not gonna even bother you for anything, everyone here usually is working, inside minding there own business or outside not caring about you, now the bad area is siesta shores due to the roads being a mess to navigate through even for someone who's from here, now our lake is drying up sadly due to lack of rain :( but there's a bunch of paths for off roading though that take you under the bridge, then there's the 3 small towns before hitting starr County on us 83, now going on tx-16 takes you to hebbrionville which is legitimately like syt if they had stores lol but what I do like about my town is that everyone knows everyone knows each other or knows what's going on and doesn't bother each other or cares much about what the neighbors down the street are up to
