When I was little we lived in Shreveport, Louisiana, just one house away from my great grandmother. She loved reading stories to all her great grandchildren, especially Beatrix Potter's stories. I read them to my children as well as my grandchildren. I was touched deeply by her impact on children as well as the environment she fought to save. I was surprised to find my daughter and granddaughter chose her for research projects; one in a literature class then again later on women's rights; the other used her in a science class study on environmental preservation. Ms. Beatrix Potter Heelis touched so many and continues to do so in in many ways.

I saw the movie about her life she was so interesting. I broke my heart when she lost Norman but then she found William. Fabulous children's books. She was a one of a kind woman. Absolutely love and respect this woman. Saving the farms and way of life. She is so amazing.

I studied Beatrix Potter for 2 years. Was inspired by her books. Several years later at a National Trust event in Nottingham found out that the National Trust had sold some of Beatrix Potter's land in the Lake District to release some cash for theTrust. I was really shocked and saddened. Lost faith in the National Trust 😢

I had the whole collection of books when I was younger. Unfortunately due to the sewer system in our building backing up so much of my childhood stuff was completely destroyed. I lost other huge chunks other devastating ways. I did buy the books for my daughter when she was little, I don't know what my ex did with them he was very destructive and malicious but she loved learning how to read with them

Not indoctrination. Realisation. Becoming aware of the intrinsic value of a beautiful landscape. The indoctrinated were the hunters, railway executives and greedy developers.

Environmentalist is truly a modern term which is often used out of context. Miss Potter was a conservationist not an environmentalists.

Interesting. Beautiful area. I didnt know she had dissected animals or skinned her pet rabbit, Benjamin. It has definitely changed my view of who she was and her work. She was more analytical scientific practical and business oriented than lost in heart-warming fantasy. The capacity to cut apart animals for study and skin your own pet after it dies is, to be honest, shocking. Which is why they kept this information hidden for so many decades.

This is a heartless program!! She kept Peter's pelt because she couldn't face not being able to touch him! Did you even once consult a Potter scholar? No! Obviously not! This is wicked! You have hurt her memory and her blessed soul. You have done great harm and great evil! May the hurt you've done be done to you!!!
