Last night I was hard at work hacking into the Blizzard video servers when I found THIS video. At first I had no idea what I was watching, but then I realize that this was the unreleased version of the Legion cinematic. Honestly, I'm glad they didn't make this one public, because all the gnomes would've scared WoW's younger audience. Don't tell Blizzard I've made this public!

I like to imagine that the WoD cinematic is Blizzar'dan trying to offer us players (we're Grom!) the demon blood of Yearly Expansions and we're all just like nope fuck you we're unsubbing, and Blizzar'dan tries to make us stay with things like the WoW token and timewalking dungeons and the god damn legendary ring questline but we all still bail. A hardy battle is fought and in the end, subs drop to 5.4 mil, Blizzard lies defeated, knowing we ain't falling for no yearly expansion bs (seriously nobody wants that). Then while we're all cheering and holding up the mighty axe named Unsubhowl, Blizzar'dan gets up and announces Legion and we all get hype again. The end.

+TheramoreIsTheBomb I seriously doubt that with the current setup of lore and game mechanics, legion will be able to deliver the awesome feels that Wotlk did. IDK, I could be wrong but I just don't see it happening. True it has a lot of cool sounding features (which blizzard say they will give, be we all saw what happened with WoD) but still .... Plus the whole artifact thing and the permanent anointed champion status it will give to players...I can see all that potentially backfiring. What is possible thought that legion turns out to be a good expansion. In terms of gameplay and story, it leaves things at an interesting place, setting the stage for the next expac. The expansion after that could be completely epic. But for that to happen blizzard will have to again start telling great stories. A huge part of the charm of WotlK was Arthas lore. And that is kind of hard to beat.
