Honestly, this just really spoke to me. My husband and I spent the last 8 years in America running a regenerative farm, and over time the business social media platforms began to take over our lives. I felt like we were selling ourselves and our ‘lifestyle’ instead of the healing food that we believed in and spent years trying to get into the world. It became very toxic for us and when we pulled our family away from being the face of the farm, the sales suffered horribly and ultimately it collapsed. I regret every photo and video I ever put our daughter in. We meant to inspire and show an example of how to live differently, the importance of making hard choices out of the mainstream- but instead I feel as though people feasted on the most personal aspects of our lives. Even though it is unintentional on behalf of the audience, the platform is wired for it. As a content creator, you have to play the game to beat the algorithm to make it financially worth your time. As a young family that is hoping to leave the rat race, it’s hard to realize you’ve found it in the very thing you escaped to. I applaud your honesty and the poignant way you’ve expressed this truth. You haven’t failed by reconsidering your goals and how you can better get there. That’s living, that’s growth! Not failure. So don’t let that lie creep in. Good lives happen slowly- and building a life takes, well, a lifetime. It doesn’t fit into social media schedules and content calendars. Good for you for keeping your integrity, I hope you find balance in your work, body, mind, and spirit.

Thanks for sharing Maria, that was really insightful to hear your own experiences. I think if your dream is to be a KZfaqr and be stinking rich then go for it. Our dream has always been to have land to grow food, healthy kids playing outside and a good work life balance. The temptation to get back on a different hamster wheel is always there with KZfaq, by putting out as much content, competing with yourself and others. As I said it's encouraged. It's been a great platform to help support us us short term but moving forward we are not going to play the game in the toxic way, you so brilliantly described.

I am one of those subscribers who subscribe and watch BECAUSE you are authentic and honest. I will not watch those overly exuberant people who chirp on about how amazing everything is. Keep on putting family and yourself first. An occasional video is better than one posted for the sake of posting. Best wishes from the US.

I think too often KZfaq puts emphasis on comments. People have opinions and honestly, aren’t always helpful. It is a joy to watch your family on this journey as it is something many of us wanted to do but did not know how to make it viable. Your authentic self is refreshing, your creativity and hard work bears fruits with your children, relationship and garden, among others. Thank you for letting us in and don’t feel apologetic when you choose not to.

Brook/Rebecca, As you know, you were the inspiration for our move to France, which is in the completion phase now. We are living here and are negotiating for a property purchase. I find it heartening that, even with your health challenges, you remain positive and feel strong enough to post content. Your thousands of subscribers will, I’m sure, feel happy to see you striving for the best start for the little ones. Stay strong for us, yourselves and most importantly them. You’re an inspiration to us all. With best wishes. X

Whatever you do, it makes me happy to see you put yourself first, and take care of you. We cannot be there for our important loved ones unless we do that. I love your posts. You and your wife come across as loving what you are doing, peaceful, and such good parents. I would miss your posts, but I would not feel good about me, if you don’t do whats best for you. I practice being kind to others first, it builds the kind of character in me to the kind of person I want to be. So I will say peace and much love, be kind to yourself. ❤

Sorry you are not feeling well. We have been away for a week and the weather here has brutalised our house and land. Got back in the dark last night, am scared to go out and look. I know one of our big fir trees came down, missed the house thankfully. I love seeing the boys but don’t show them if you don’t feel comfortable . Do please show your veg growing reality, I think it is an important and helpful process to share. It doesn’t have to be “ perfect” or “ beautiful” to provide healthy nutritious, cheap,no food miles, sustaining food and that’s really important. Love my pots, so sorry about the costs ( aaarrgh !)

It is always hard to balance work, family, free time etc.... for everyone. We appreciate your honesty and for myself, at some point I believe we see through those on KZfaq that try to show a fake persona or reality. The Truth Will Out as they say. We appreciate the time you share and look forward to videos when they come. Sending Best Wishes!!!!!!!!

I'd like to say that the interest many people have in these type of videos/stories like yours is because they seem more real in this present artificial unstable world . This connection to the land and or restoration projects is inspiring and satisfying, as is watching everyday people do the work required to acheive the dream. The dream of most of us is a family, home, and piece of land, Someplace where we belong and someone we belong to ! Do not diminish or think you are insignificant, don't apologize for your efforts. We believe you are valuable in the dynamics of mans journey through life. The contrast between people like yourself and those who burn, loot, murder and destroy is so great ! Be you ! You and your family and others like you are beautiful and priceless ! Watching you is such a wonderful, healing diversion to world news ! Thank you and your family. The world is built by people like you, not corporations, politicians, influencers on tic tok, etc ! Prayers for your health and success ! From Missouri, 💗👍🌟🙏USA

I honestly think you can post whatever you like and people will still watch. You have interesting things you like to film. I don’t think you need to worry abt what others are doing as everyone does what suits them too. And I wouldn’t let algorithms force change especially if you’re not relying on fast growth for income. Even with intermittent posts we still see them pop up in our feed. So go be you and rest easy in the knowledge that we’ll still be here too.

Yes, I've also cut down on the bread. We bake our own bread in a bread machine, but I was having it for breakfast and lunch. I think with anything you binged on for too long, it's worth cutting it out, seeing if there's an improvement and then reintroducing it in smaller quantities once the gut is healed.

Spending time with your young children is priceless !!!! Growing food with them, also priceless. I was the youngest of six children, dad would grow all our summer salad plus onions for picking, we had apple trees, and rhubarb in the garden. Home made crumble and custard delicious. I still say the vegetables in the shops today are tasteless. Well done you for sticking with your ideas and not being encouraged to step on that merry go round they call the media wheel. It's not always easy to see the positive things in life, but just look around you, you do have a lot to be positive about. Stay strong and that fog will soon be a thing of the past. Life now is so shallow. We are essentially told how to think, what we want in our lives and how we should live our lives. KZfaq is an American owned 'thing' however it fails to understand that we are not all American (and I thank God for this) lol. Cultures are different through out the world and this is not considered by the algorithm within youtube. I encourage you to remain and continue to be who you are personally and as a family.

I love your content and it fills a niche in falling into the irregular esoteric gaps between the boxes. I have written five or six books and reams of poetry and short stories, none of which will ever see the light of day because I know my ego isnt robust enough for the rigours of the modern world. I know only too well that its always the squeakiest wheels that get oiled and despite having many real needs and knowing that I really should seek help and attention I just dont like to draw attention to myself.. it causes me anxiety. So I totally get what you are saying but just know you are liked and appreciated for what you do as even a total hermit like me likes to feel not so alone sometimes

I think you have an audience that is sufficiently larger than many and enjoys your videos however frequent they are. Your cinematography is beautiful. Find the balance that feels right for you. I will say that as someone with inflammatory diseases, it has helped me to eliminate foods from my diet that are triggers such as salmon, yogurt, aged cheeses, spinach, cinnamon, chocolate, citrus, tomatoes, and eggplants. It is a learning curve. I eliminated them all and then trialed them one by one for a two week period to see if my body reacted to them and then eliminated the trial food for two weeks before doing a second trial to confirm the outcome. It is time consuming, but worth the effort. And, it has been a journey to develop a repertoire of dishes I enjoy that don't include those foods. But, I have the benefit of far less flaring of inflammatory disease now. It has been well worth it. I hope you find results as positive for yourself.

It's time to be "super excited" about being normal ... you'll retain your people. I've come to realise health (or age) is the challenge that the KZfaq AUDIENCE experience. Our physical or mental limitations render us perfect vicarious viewers. Something to think about, and the genuine kindness we want to show you. Take care, be confident.

Sorry to hear about the illnesses, most of which are caused by either FUNGUS or WORMS. It's a nasty truth, but it is what it is. You can take plenty of supplements and never get rid of them buggers, or you can do some powerful liver and kidney cleanses and also a good round of dewormer, just like we do for our beloved pets. Fungi is a little trickier, it's the cause of most brain fog, but it too can be cleanse from the body with simple things like baking soda or vinegar. There are MANY herbs that'll rid the body and brain of fungi, parasites and worms, DON'T DELAY any longer. Check out Hulda Clark and take care.

Hi! I am planing to travel around Europe for one year to reconnect with myself after my divorce…do you need help around your property in exchange for bed and food for a couple a week or a month? I can cook, clean, organize, babysit and love plants and the outdoor 😍 Thank you!

The régime you have is as good as it gets, you may not be able to reclaim costs but this is reflected in the barème of reduced social charges. Once you cross into system réel you’ll be able to claim back your expenses but you’ll pay 46% social charges on all profit starting from 0€. And then impôts on top. If you’re editing (prestation) im guessing your overheads a relatively small so keep your simplifiée status but be careful as you’ll become assujetti du tva at 37k. If you do this you become mini réel and become tva registered but not fully réel. Still a better option as you keep the sc barème. If that helps.
