Thanks, Couch, for the good work. Sometimes, you only need one 10x to make up all the losses. Identify good stocks and hold on for the ride. I'm seriously considering buying myself some SNOW as summer present.

I found nvidia in 2021 and started buying on the way down. Problem is I’m young and I had no investment experience and little knowledge so even though I loaded up pretty close to the bottom, I sold on the way up before it even reached 600. Investor psychology played me like a fiddle

Always buy n sell based on technical analysis. Does it sell, Does it grow, is fwd pe outrageous, etc. Back your instincts with data Never sell only because 'it grows too fast' and you 'lock in gains' mentality

Very good video! The only thing you left out is that if you stay the ground and keep holding on to your shares you will have periods where you will underperform the SP500 and when your stocks run you will CRUSH the SP500. So if you choose this strategy don’t compare yourself so much against the SP500. Maybe only in a 5 year basis.

Great points, if the fundamentals are sound, hang in there! Palintir is exciting today after holding price for quite awhile and not getting into the S&P. "Cash flow is way better than P/E" - right?!

Snowflake please. I agree with you. Youre right but an identical video could be made showing stocks that someone shouldve sold and held on to til bankruptcy.

This does not matter if you also held on to stocks that did 10x, with bankruptcy you can mostly lose your stake... it will never go minus 10x, right? (or you must use leverage, which is very risky) So the ten baggers will make up for the losing ones many times over and wont matter much in the long term. Bankruptcys never come suddenly, most of the time you see them coming months ahead, so you can limit the losses. That is why the remark Couch said is important, don't sell only because the stock price is down, if the thesis has not changed, this should not be a reason to sell, otherwise why did you invest in the first place?.. If you really believe in the company, you should be delighted you can buy more shares at such low prices! Like with Tesla at the moment.. DCA all the way to the bottom! In one portfolio I am down 20% on Tesla, in another portfolio up 80%

Investing isn't about being right all the time and picking only companies that go up. It would make for the best of the best returns sure, but it's impossible to accomplish in the long run.

Covered calls are the way to go when you are waiting for the stock to recover ... take a few shares, do an option on a weekly strike price you know it won't reach and do it again and again week after week!

All great points. You Tube comments sections are chock full of people asking what price to buy, or what price they should sell. Or "The price is dropping, Couch, reassure me with a new video of why x stock is so great still!". If you find yourself in this group, just buy an index fund and don't look at it.

Serious question; why not set a trailing stop loss of around 25% and then reopen the positions when the dust clears? I currently just hold but I am reading a lot of books that suggest stop loss.

Would love to know your thoughts on investing in a semiconductor etf... **im new to investing, just learning, had an investment account for only 3 months😬** Im looking at either SMGB or SEMG SEMG has the best performance to date but im thinking of going for SMGB as it caps the holdings at 10% and because nvidia has had such a big run up i expect it could have a correction at some point this year and in the other ETF i believe its 30%+.. Your thoughts on this approach to adding exposure to the AI sector would be gratefull 🙏🙏 Great video as usual

SMH is good, you do want one heavily weighted in NVDA in my opinion and SMH is. Plus buy a few NVDA shares before it rises any more!

@@julielaw520 i believe smh is what i have gone for but it has a different ticker symbol for the uk, its ticker here is smgb for the uk fund that is traded in £s..... The nvidia weighting is roughly 10.5% according to just etf site but on vanecks own site it has the weighting as 12.14%.... The other etf semg is 32% nvidia and has outperformed smh (YTD semg 66% to smh/smgb 44%) since 2021 there is only a 10% extra gain from semg but i am in the camp that thinks nvidia could have a bit of a correction so i have gone for the etf with a little less nvidia exposure in smgb/smh

80% of all stocks underperform the S&P over the long term. Probability is not on your side even for just finding a stock to outperform a major index. 10x is almost an impossibility and even if you get 10x, chances are you will get 4 other stocks down 50%. I just stick to growth

Good analysis buddy. I know you are in process of building a solid portfolio and eventually success will come up but takes long time. I have same intentions as you and want to gain huge but my style is trading options. What is your take on trading options buddy? Do you think we can be successful trading options as well?

Most people know this but this is just a new portfolio. The main portfolio is bigger and performs better since 2016. I don't trade options but I can see why some people do as a hedge
