Damn this was actually super wholesome. The guy had supportive friends and got closure over a life-changing accident. Nothing wrong with the actual foot-eating either. It seemed propery preserved, he had a professional help him with cooking, and the meat wasn't harvested at the expense of anyone's undue suffering. It hits none of the reasons for why canninalism is considered taboo.

One of our friends had his leg amputated and he couldn’t keep it at his home because he didn’t have room, and we did. So after his amputation we kept his leg in our freezer for a few months, I would often jokingly threaten to give it to my dog or use it for fish bait. We ended up giving him the freezer and he now has possession of his leg, he plans on making a knife handle out of the bone.
