Oh my gosh, I have seen no one else talk about this show and it is so good. After watching Nathan For You, this was the perfect second series. I haven’t watched the video yet and don’t know if you’ve said this, but for me it is lowkey a thriller/horrorish just because of how creepy and somewhat anxiety inducing it is because of the existentialism and constant doubting of one’s life choices. However, it’s all totally worth it. To me, Nathan Fielder is a bit of a genius. So so happy you guys are talking about this and can’t wait to finish the vid. Edit: So, I actually finished the video and I agree with everything you guys said. The ethics and morals of the show are complex, but like Jake said, it’s part of the art. I’m just hoping that, at the end of the day, everyone involved on screen was made aware of what was going on, lol. I sadly haven’t watched the last ep yet, but so far, my favorite is “The Fielder Method” because of how outlandish and methodical it is. Nadia also brought up the PI episode in Nathan For You, and I feel like it’s similar to the show too because of all the fake Nathan’s and Fielder even living in a fake Nathan’s home.

There are a surprising amount of religious themes. Now I’m wondering how they’re related to everything else. Maybe the idea of creating and controlling reality. Even the name “Adam”

Show is legitimately perfect. Each episode left me with my head in my hands. Nathan Fielder is the best! 10/10!

I have no evidence to support this claim but Nathan hardly ever breaks character so I can only assume he’s stashed away that information along with the nuclear codes

I thought that the fifth episode was just okay compared to the previous ones, but the finale kicked me straight in the nuts and I loved it! Genius series!

Have you guys watched "How To with John Wilson"? It's extremely great and in the same vein as The Rehearsal and NFY (Nathan is an EP on the show). It leans much more into the Human and vulnerable moments you talked about but there are definitely still some really good laughs.

My favorite part - although it's damn crime to single out a single moment - was when they planted fully grown cucumbers tip first into the garden when doing the time lapse/ time progression.

EVERY new episode blows my mind. I don't know how they come up with theses ideas. Whenever I think I know what's gonna be the next move from Nathan, it surprises me again...

Nathan for You is one of my all time favorites. Idk if you guys have seen the show "Severance" but its an amazing show and it seems like you guys would like it. Its like a socialist worker revolution tale mixed with sci-fi

My favorite HBO original show. Its so rewatchable. Last episode hit all the emotional strings. Nathan breaking character for second during his fight with real Angela. Fake Angela was on point lol.

I just binged the entire show and my brain is broken now.

I can't remember exactly which episodes they were, I know The Fielder Method and I guess the one after that were my favorites. He wants to feel how the actor feels (like he was stalking/manipulating people) which is how a lot of people feel about the entire show. He hired an actor to play himself as he plays the actor, good to exhaustive lengths, but just can't feel anything. It ends with him resetting the child to the age he was when Nathan left and basically saying, if life doesn't turn out you want, just change your perception. Then poof, the child changes ages for Nathan's perceived benefit. I think the ending may be a transference of that, but I need to rewatch.

Like the movie butterfly effect, the thought of hitting the reset button with different outcomes is built into the back of every human mind and is so intriguing to us. Such a different concept for a tv show. Simple yet complex. 🤯🤯🤯

I still don't know what to think about this show. Never laughed out loud. Some scenes made me slightly exhale I guess. The finale was definitely so out there. The only other show that kinda resembled this was Who is America? By Sasha Baren Cohen

A really amazing show.

It's so strange how actual "reality" shows can be manipulative and force situations on their participants and I don't really bat an eye emotionally but The Rehearsal was constantly cutting me so deep, part of it is probably because Nathan made sure to show how good and kind hearted these people were, with many laughs before just dropping big moments on you that make you feel sad and uncomfortable. He really is a master at doing what he wanted to accomplish, I also would rate it a 10/10 but it's probably the most reluctant 10 I would ever give anything lpl

As a creator, Can i ask, Did this get copyright notices? I have always been afraid to play clips from. Almost anything. I see this as fair use. But From my experience, it's like none of these co.panies care if it's fair use or not?

This show stressed me out, but I think that was because of who I was with while watching it.

All that being said and liking the show, I think Finding Francis was much more emotionally effective in an hour and a half movie for me than this entire season. I'll have to rewatch though.l

I don't like this show. I've only watched the first but that ending just...felt...wrong and i don't wanna see where it goes afterward. I don't watch reality tv shows and I don't like when they do horrible shit to the participants that they aren't prepared to do even if they consented to it i think they didn't know kor knew what he was in for.

The 1st 3 were highly entertaining then the last 3 were just aimed at being weird and hbo-ey. Yes. I got the joke but I prefer reality not scripted awkwardness.
