Mikel Arteta was more than 3 years an assistant for Pep Guardiola at City. Lampard and Gerrard should consider being assistants to excellent managers at well run clubs. Go and learn from the best, experience managing great players and top clubs in England, compete in Europe, global stage.

Managing top clubs and top players is a unique experience, much if which doesn't prepare you to do the same at medium to smaller clubs. Arteta was incredibly fortunate in multiple ways, but this one in particular, in that he got to translate that to managing Arsenal. It's even less likely that those 2 will get that chance now following their PL experience than it was when they had none, and there was almost no cha chance then either.

@Benno Benno completely different. Thats a sportsman cheating. The players havent done anything wrong and theyre who the fans come to see, not the owners. So why would it taint the experience of watching them play and love for the team?

@0riginalFIR3 They cheated, plain and simple. Bought players and paid wages from money they didn't earn. Can't even fill there own stadium and they're trying to argue their revenue was that of a Real Madrid, United or Barcelona who are historically the largest fan bases in the world. If you think the players on double contracts weren't aware of the cheating you're deluding yourself

@@davymugs7291 only Mancini and Toure have been spoken about as having double contracts. I’ve read Mancini was employed as a consultant for another company owned by the City owners. However, they also only inflated their sponsorships, so they made more money than they would’ve earned from sponsorships, possibly even 2/3/4x the amount, but solely that revenue stream. They’re not like Juventus who actually manipulated their entire financial statements. Part of the reason it seems like so much is because of the success, but City’s business was simply, almost flawless. Man UTD have spent more and received less from transfers in the same time period, yet have achieved practically nothing.

Dyche and Emery having "been round the block more" is not the reason why they're getting more out of their teams than Gerrard and Lampard. out of possession Everton were absolutely woeful under lampard in comparison to under Dyche. you might call it brexitball but he got them setup in an organised tactical setup that nullified Arsenal after DAYS of coaching. there are levels to this and lampard and Gerrard just aren't there

Normally I wouldn’t care about teams down near the bottom as you’d be able to clearly see 3 teams that are considerably worse than the rest but last season n this one now the relegation zone has been so interesting it’s so tight down there that it’s difficult to clearly say who'll go😅😅

I'm speaking as a fan of a Championship Club, and I can tell you now the majority of fans want to see City get absolutely walloped for this. It's got very little to do with it being Man City, although they're a distasteful model for a club. No, it's to do with the big teams having a monopoly over everything. It's gone on for decades and it needs to stop. There was a time when smaller teams could realistically dream about one day winning something. There was a time when, in the same 10 year span, Forest and Aston Villa won the European Cup, Everton won the Division 1 title and Wimbledon won the FA Cup. Now I understand, those clubs weren't necessarily small at the time, but they weren't European elites either before they won those trophies, and it could happen. Can't happen now (save Leicester's absolutely incredible story) and it's honestly making football less enjoyable.

Cooper has done wonders, coach of the year along with Arteta and Brentford boss. He has a point though everyone underestimated forest thought it's great to have them back and then we start taking points off teams and spending money and they start moaning. I love we have shaken up the league and these established teams think they are entitled to a PL spot need to book up their ideas. Forest had to spend the money came up on loans, they've took a gamble and it's paying off

Why would someone leave almost qualifying (still probably could) champions league team in Madrid/La Liga - to a relegation battle in Leeds?

Too many bottom half PL managers are trying to play like Pep & develop an attacking identity when really they should know their league & try to play long ball. These managers like Frank do it bc one day they think they can level up to a BvB or a Tottenham etc. by playing attractive football but really all they end up doing is ruining these teams such as Everton in this example & ultimately failing everywehre as a manager. Sometimes these struggling teams are better off with managers who only have aspirations to stay up & they know they’re league like Dyche, T.Frank, Moyes etc. Once your club gets the quality required, then you should try and tinker with an attacking philosophy manager which is what I think West Ham should go and get now bc they have the quality to play attacking football

@@boomshakalaka3068 So basically he tried to force a move to Milan in which he already agreed a contract with. But while the clubs were negotiating, Bournemouth came in with straight up money and Roma accepted. Zaniolo TURNED THEM DOWN while Roma were then trying to force him to move there. It got to the last hours and Milan pulled out because they couldn’t match Bournemouth’s offer and so Zaniolo had to accept Bournemouth, but they had spent all their money elsewhere so couldn’t afford him. So Zaniolo got outcasted by Roma(his own fault tbf) and had to move to Galatasaray for his own safety and to actually play football. So hearing people say stupid things like that show they no nothing about what happened 😂

@@boomshakalaka3068 Haha crazy that Bournemouth can afford to spend loads and Milan can’t. English clubs are so rich compared to the rest of Europe. He only wanted Milan so I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up there in the near future but I definitely see him leaving Galatasaray (he has like a 25m release clause). I’m sure he actually turned down Bournemouth saying it would be a step down in his career 😂 but Roma saw all that money up front and accepted. The crazy thing is - Spurs could’ve got him a few times but Roma turned them down(for bigger money) but then he got injured and obvs with injury, your stock and performances go down. But yeah, that’s the transfer saga in short term lol! I was shocked hearing that guy actually said Bournemouth turned him down because that’s a narrative that people would just go with without knowing the ins and outs
