I'm an ADULT CONVERT to the LDS Church. Before that, I investigated seven different Christian churches and read up on world religions. The years of groping for truth was a massive confusion and drove me to agnosticism and borderline atheism. I never FELT at home anywhere. It was only when I finally was loved & INVITED by a member of the LDS Church to investigate that I found Ephesians 2:19-20 and Ephesians 4:5 to make any sense. I finally found HOME ... I was no more a foreigner or stranger. Though I am very GRATEFUL for other churches (I really am), THINGS THAT DIDN'T MAKE SENSE to me in mainstream Christianity were things like: 1. Since they believe that physical birth is the START of our lives and since God is all-powerful, all wise, all loving, then why did HE not create us ALL to be like Jesus? If you could have, but didn't then He's really responsible for the mess that this world is in.. Since he is a respecter of no persons, it makes sense that He should have made us all to be like Jesus. So there had to be ANOTHER ANSWER. Ecclesiastes 12:7 says that our bodies return to the Earth and our spirits return to God. You can only RETURN to a place if you've been there BEFORE. Jeremiah 1:5 talks about Jeremiah being foreordained prior to coming to Earth. You can only ordain someone if they exist IN your presence. 2. I have four children. I would not share truth with ONLY one and ignore the other three. Hence, it makes sense to have additional scriptures In addition to the Bible. For people who bash The Book of Mormon, I have one response.... "Under the same circumstances and same timeline that Joseph Smith translated The Book of Mormon, please produce a comparable copy of some holy writ." NO ONE ever takes me up on it .... never. Never. NEVER. And that's only the beginning of the things that make sense. I'm writing a book -- mostly for myself -- called THE PROFOUND LOGIC OF THE RESTORED GOSPEL. Indeed, the RESTORED Gospel of Jesus Christ is profoundly 👈👉 logical, particularly when we have the Holy Ghost to assist us in having clear understandings and not let ourselves be derailed by the the (ir)religious bias of the world. I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when I was 11yrs.old . Everything the missionaries taught my family made perfect sense. A year earlier I had begun reading the Bible for myself and right away I disagreed with what my church was teaching me about the Godhead. The Bible said one thing and my minister said something different. I was already questioning the teachings of the Protestant religion and I was only in Genesis . I immediately knelt by my bed (it was nighttime) and prayed, asking the Lord about the Godhead. Now I knew the Lord would answer me but I didn’t know the answer would come so soon. But it came to my mind instantly. A year later when the missionaries were teaching my family I had no trouble believing that they were teaching me the truth. Three months later we were baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We have never looked back. That was 1962. My brother and his family never joined the church nor were they interested. It’s just my sister in law and me left now. She is still not interested but my testimony couldn’t be stronger. ❤🎉😊

It is beautiful!! The gospel makes so much sense. There is so much more to God and Jesus Christ than most of the world believes… there has to be! You look at our All Powerful Father and Savior… the cosmos… everything that happens in our lives… this is truly magnificent, and people are so afraid to see it.

Mainstream Christianity makes no sense and is dying out. Meanwhile The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints continues to grow and prosper. Speak of by their fruits ye shall know them.

No wonder president Nelson focused on the restoration, creating a document about this doctrine, that the Lord brought the truth about the nature of divinity and religiosity in these latter-days through Joseph Smith. People keep searching but, hey, look here! Joseph got it!

Just to be clear, the early Church fathers didn’t teach predestination and free grace. Those were teachings of the 16th Century Protestant reformers - Luther, Calvin, Zwingli, et. al. The early Church fathers lived and wrote in the 2nd through 8th Centuries, give or take, and they would have found those Reformation teachings totally off base.
