The return of Te Huia! + Electric Trains in Auckland, NZ ~ 24/01/2022

2 жыл бұрынJanuary 24 marked the long-awaited return of Te Huia; the regional passenger train from Hamilton to Auckland Strand. On the relaunch day itself, I went over to Hamilton and rode the aforementioned train, which now stops at Puhinui station as well.
Throughout the video we'll see some of KiwiRail's DFB and DL class diesel locomotives in action, as well as the rebuilt ex-British Rail Mk2 coaches on Te Huia and the CAF-built AM class electric multiple units in Auckland.

The Te Huia staff that were at the Strand were telling people it was a Locomotive that had packed a Sad . And one of the problems with Puhinui is some of the AM units doors don't open properly there as shown here ;- kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jcmVfKym0LetmX0.html

There's a big steel mill at the end of that branch. It runs past the Glenbrook Vintage Railway too.
