You three missed a great "that guy": Michael Wincott who plays Guy Of Gisbourne. "Well, Locksley...welcome home. KILL HIM!" He was in Born On The 4th Of July, he played Paul Rothchild in The Doors, then he was in the 1993 Three Musketeers movie you guys referenced, The Crow, Strange Days, Alien: Resurrection, Metro, The Diving Bell And The Butterfly, Hitchcock in which he played serial killer Ed Gein, and he was on Westworld where he played Old Bill. He's one of the greatest "that guys" of all time.

Hell yes! He was also the teacher/villain kidnapper in Along Came A Spider, not such a great movie but excellent book, also was a great surprise seeing Michael Wincott as the filmmaker/cinematographer in Nope. Always would've liked to see him in a lead role, maybe it's not too late.

I was just thinking about this movie yesterday. I’ve seen it like 50 times and know it line by line but I’m still fully engaged every time I watch. No, Kevin Costner doesn’t speak with an English accent like Cary Elwes, but he’s still an awesome Robin Hood. And apparently Alan Rickman basically did improv the whole time because he thought the script for the Sheriff was horrible. He killed it. RIP

I remember how big of deal this movie was, people including myself, were so excited for it; the theater erupted in cheers when Connery came on screen. And yes, the theme song and video were inescapable for a long time.

Shocking that they never made a sequel with the main cast returning, a charismatic new villain, and even Connery having a real supporting role. It would have been a massive success. Alan Rickman and Morgan Freeman are incredible in this.

The Connery moment....I saw this in the theaters with my parents and I was 11. He saw Connery...I got and said" Oh My God it's sean Connery." Mom was trying to shut me up. Dad was laughing. Two chick's behind kept giggling for a few minutes. Funniest movie thing I ever have done.

Kevin Costner got paid 7.5 million dollars for the film and he sure as hell earned it given its huge success. American western actors could always do Robin Hood if they wanted to. Robin Hood movies are essentially English Westerns . Errol Flynn also did a few westerns after doing Robin Hood to huge success in 1938. The success of the Costner version was just a marketing tour de force from Warner Brothers.

Everyone was really great in this movie. But Kevin Costner. I'm not that crazy about his movies. Most of them are too long. He made a lot of westerns over the years. Between this, The Untouchables and Bull Durham are about the only Kevin Costner movies, I actually will watch. I was thinking about watching the one with Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett. BTW! I recently rewatched L.A. Confidential. You guys should cover it on an episode.

Oh man, I gotta watch this again. I just watched the Ridley Scott one (the casting of the villains is so damn good, and Max Von Sydow and Danny Huston are both fun), and I guiltily liked the stupid-ass Taron Egerton film. But it’s been years and years since I watched Prince of Thieves, and I need a Rickman fix. Shit I gotta watch the Young Guns flicks again, too.
