Hosted by Keemstar, host of the internet news show DramaAlert, the event brought together some of the biggest internet personalities to compete for a prize: MrBeast, James Charles, PewDiePie, Ninja, Grandayy, DanTDM, CaptainSparklez, and so many more. The event sparked a lot of drama in its time, but also brought a lot of people together. After 14 weeks worth of competition, the event has come to an end. It doesn't look likely that Minecraft Monday will return. It would be a crime to forget about this tournament and its impact, so today I will be talking about the history of Minecraft Monday.

The entire event after week 1 was just making sure Techno couldn't win without seeming outright unfair so they kept giving him inexperienced and estranged teammates so he can't win. Since TapL was good at MC they didn't let him team with Techno.

it could have been awesome if carson had played his cards right. if he had actually talked with techno it could have been really funny but the whole soundboard thing just made techno uncomfortable and therefore the whole thing awkward. obviously carson couldn't have known that the joke wouldn't land, but i wish he would have stopped once he realized it wasn't working out.

The cash prize is there to make it into an "actual" tournament so people would be more interested in it, the money doesn't actually matter competitively.

Its also a combo of the fact that a lot of the participants had no PVP experience or a good understanding of the game itself. Like I had no idea james Charles was part of the event because he's mostly a beauty guru. You'd normally not see him doing gaming related content

Pineapple Daily I’m a stan of a6d, and he has two ibffs that he would play with a lot, who were also in mcm which are badboyhalo and skeppy. They’re real good friends towards a6d, and it was no surprise to me that skep and bad stuck up for him. (Shotgunraids was pretty much included as well, I believe he was/is somewhat close with skeppy)

I think it's also cus a good portion of MCM viewers were outsiders from the Minecraft community who just wanted to see big youtubers duke it out and not necessarily watching for the game itself. The other events like MCC and MCU truly are Minecraft events for Minecraft players, both competitive and casual. And it's much less toxic too-only the occasional stan battles that are easily settled in smaller sub-communities.

Even though his teammates were supposed to be "nerfs" , Techno kinda somehow brings out the best in his team Dan was surprisingly bloodthirsty for a man known for his mod videos and not his PvP skills Schlatt who was a walker for life somehow won with Techno I don't know how you can call Philza a nerf, I guess the thought of him being old was the passing grade Jack didn't suck at minecraft Junky held up well And Connor didn't eat sh*t Even with Chris who is surprisingly bad at minecraft, they're not *that* much of a nerf, they're more like regular celebrity teammates

@Hope Bagel Funny how you call Carson a crybaby, when he's facing hard times in his life. You people only care to hate on a person just because you don't have anything to do. Leave Carson alone, like seriously, ranting about something of the past is just tiresome smh. (And yeah, as a Carson fan, I do agree that Carson kinda messed up when he was teamed up with Techno and used the sound board, but that's all in the past now.)

Love this video. Such a fun time for the internet. Hopefully we can get something similar sometime soon, but most of Minecraft Monday came from the gigantic comeback of the game, but now it has sadly died down quite a bit again. It truly was an event! The Minecraft Olympics if you will. Great video.

Ok Technoblade was literally the only reason why I watched minecraft monday. He took it easy, and enjoyed his time while everyone was hating on him. It's actually ridiculous that people kept attacking him the way he did. He's great at minecraft, and he worked hard to be good at minecraft.

for the LONGEST time, i wondered how the hell so many bugs and glitches and oversights happened throughout Minecraft Mondays, like Techno being able to go between areas in Build Battles (typically, there are admin-only barrier blocks between areas), xQc building at mid, that one Find The Button where the barriers didn't open correctly... and then i saw that Keemstar hosted it, and that explained so much.

I always felt bad for Carson. That’s just his sense of humor, and it just wasn’t well received by various audiences. I understand why it wasn’t, but the hate he received was unwarranted.

Technoblade also didn't find it funny. He ended up muting Carson. Techno should've told Carson his intentions: "I want to win." and talked to carson about turning off the sound board. But Carson should have also respected Techno's wishes, as a teammate, and turned off his sound board. Both ended up having unsportsmanlike coordination, but Techno still had the skill to rise to the top, Carson didn't. So Carson got the brutal end while Techno has the public's sympathy.
