Excellent video as always. I wish more Armenian youth would care more about their history. Division seems to be rooted in Armenian history nearly from its conception to this day..

I'm very glad to hear that! I used to fall asleep in my Armenian history classes, the way it was taught was tedious. I only learned I was interested in history years later as an adult. One of the things that inspired me to start this channel. Thanks for dropping by!

Well based on Khorenatsi we should start from Teg-Arme aka from 2540 bce (if I’m correct).

Hmmm for me the most confusing part is about Orontid Dynasty Because some people says that Orontid Armenia(Urashtu) has been independent right before rising of Persian Empire .When Median Empire started to collapse. However ,the kingdom lasted no long. And also you didn’t mentioned about Haykazuni dynasty. Maybe because the information isn’t accurate. Well anyway your video is amazing.Keep going ❤

Here is idea how about “Who would be king of Armenia”
@AkravHistory
@AkravHistory 11 ай бұрын
I like that idea, I doubt we have enough literature on it, but could be possible if we make some assumptions from Greek and Persian sources. I'll look into it!

@@AkravHistory You know that now the title "King of Armenia" belongs to the Italian House of Savoy. By the way, the last king of Italy, Umberto II, was from the House of Savoy, and in his title list there is also the title King of Armenia

Kingdom of Cilicia is a wrong name. The correct one is *Kingdom of Armenia,* without any mentioning of the geographical region’s name.

Why?

@@AkravHistoryBc. Cilicia is just a historical, geographical toponym? The correct name of this Armenian state established in Cilicia region is _Kingdom of Armenia._ You’ll never find ‘Cilicia’ in official historical documents. For instance, check out the easily accessible proof - an inscription on the tomb of last Armenian king Levon V de Lusignan. He died in Paris and the tomb to be found in Saint Denis Basilica. Here is the original text in Old French: “Cy gist tres noble et excellent prince Leon de Lizingnen quint roy latin du *royaume d'Armenie* qui rendit l'ame a Dieu a Paris le XXIXe jour de novembre l'an de grace M.CCC.IIIIXX.XIII. Priez pour luy.” And here is English translation: “Here lies the right noble and excellent Prince Leon de Lusignan V, Latin king of the *kingdom of Armenia,* who passed away in Paris on the 29th day of November of the year of Grace 1393. Pray for him.”

@@mEtalec I agree with your comment although there is an established terminology where Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia refers to Armenian kingdom and Ancient Cilicia refers to the independent state that existed before.
