Parent's know their children, because the children know their parent's, knows their rules and guidance. When they grow up and become adults they honour their parents by the life they have become. But if they grow up and become rebellious, lawless, then they have removed themselves from the saving grace of their parents. The parents knowing their children only when they are a result of their grace have now become a disgrace, unknown by their parents. "I do not know you" God is love, and those who love are born of God and knows God, that right there is relationship, and it is by grace that we are able to be apart of the family of God, the cross separates the old, loveless, lawless, self-centered, human effort=self-righteous old man to the new, born into love, in love, filled with the Spirit, enabled to walk and talk and obey. To finish off about the rebellious children, the writer of Hebrews states that the Father declared over His Son many things, high priest, the One who has torn the vail (separated us from the Father of love , and the land of the living) the author and finisher of our faith. Also it is said that the Father scourges all those (His Sons) whom He loves and are His. If we are not disciplined then we are illegitimate sons. This illegitimate son presents an illegitimate version of love. This is why the holy standard is; Love is perfect and love is pure. To represent love (the goodness of God in the land of the living) it is done through refining and purifying. The legitimacy of sons of love are born of God, walk with God, know God and are known by God. This is all by grace! and those who call themselves christians are a revelation to others of either legitimacy (onlookers believe because they see the genuine love towards each other) or they see illegitimacy, fakes, clouds without water, uncrucified, undisciplined by the Father, egotistical, still relying on their own righteousness, ME gospel, golden ticket holders, no moral compass. The saving grace is coming to that internal revelation of what you need to be saved from (only those who are in need of a doctor go to a doctor) the restoration of our barely active spirit to being activated for the unification with the Spirit of God, so that we may see what the Father is doing and saying and do and say likewise. The Father of love, loves this world and reveals to this world the legitimacy of His love through His sons and daughters. People lay down their lives for their country, they also dive deep into this world for riches and success, some chase professions that require years of training sort out, and are in the top tier payrate. Jesus ate fish and likely lamb. He was no vegan. Paul said NOT to abstain from meat. I believe the Millennial Kingdom has already taken place, and we are in the time of Satan's 'short season' of deception. God has guided history along, and knows full well the struggle knowing truth from lies. Isaiah 45:7 says God created light and darkness, good and evil. He knows our spiritual battle and will be there for us. Jesus knew Judas would betray Him, and told him what you must do, do quickly; and then Satan entered into Judas. God is fully in control of our time-line. You are so right that we are saved by grace, because in the end all will be saved, called the restitution of all things. Mental Health illness

My adventist church in contrast has some of the happiest, most sane, friendly, and wholesome people I've ever met. I've seen mental illness, it's not from the church.

People with mental health issues often do not know they have issues, especially when surrounded by those eith the same issues. Add in virtue signaling and it is game over for seeing it.

Kellogg died at 91, and tons of meat-eaters die much older than that. 'Adventist population research papers' are a whole lot of stretching the 'truth' because of bias, financial gain, and wishful thinking. Just like 'research papers' on myriad topics in science today. Wrong, we haven't had capitalism since 1913 when the Federal Reserve was created. What we have now is called corporatism, where the government picks the winners and losers in business based on the amount of kickbacks received from lobbyists. I hate to break the news to you but just as many Democrats are on the take as the GOP. We're not going to vote our way out of this problem.
