I enjoy dry fasting even for just 20 hours. If something is wrong, I will stop eating and sometimes not eat if it's bad enough. I'm usually healed overnight. Dry fasting is easier if you are trained but you need to be very careful and listen to your body at all times. If you feel too weak, drink water...slowly ❤❤

This was all super informative but, retired on a very fixed income, a lot of it is just too expensive to put the whole program into effect. Mouth appliance, sonic toothbrush, expensive alternative products = unreachable. Too bad there weren’t any “affordable 2nd best” options given.

I don't completely agree on his labelling of Fructose an enemy, Glucose can also be harmful. There does appear to be a trend of villainising fruit when studies have shown fructose and glucose have similar pathways and have shown fructose convert to glucose.

Being a "theorist" big pharma was very old news to me....... But the concept of "big food" going hand in hand with docs pushing unnecessary meds and big pharma is a shocking awful truth.....

Sugar is intentionally being added to our food. Premade food such as deli chicken salad have sugar in them. Sugar is added because it improves the taste which makes the customer coming back to buy more. People don’t even know it’s been added. Who would think chicken salad would have sugar added to it, but it’s true.

This was a wonderful interview, thanks for doing it. I'm not sure why Ted is getting so much push back in some of the comments, I would caution against falling into the trap of "diet factions". His P:E framework makes total sense and is essentially what body builders have been doing for over a century without vilifying any one macro. All very reasonable stuff -- especially considering what the average person in the developed world is ingesting.

Not a TN fan even slightly. He’s from the old days; the low fat world which didn’t work for me in the long term. I ‘m feeling much healthier physically and emotionally in the low carb life. I’m a woman and my body looks better also. Still - nothing wrong with hearing different views. Thanks for the podcast

Meat is worst thing you could switch to! Risking kidney and galblader stones... Plenty of foods are low oxalates! Some of my staples are: Cowpeas Green peas Chickpeas Oat bran Lentils Red kidney beans Rice Cabbage Arugula Bok choy Fresh juice of one orange for some vitC Honey Banana Apple Pear Melons Lettuces Dried prunes Olive oil Macadamias Pumpkin seeds Flax seeds Some of these have barely any oxalate after properly being soaked and throughtly cooked. If you are heavily burden and need to reduce slower you can eat some more of the oxalate moderate foods for a while.

Bile is the only way the body has to get rid of excess cholesterol so it's not just for fat absorption, excess fat in stool is a sign of malabsorption and is not something people should stride for.

Ok respect. Kiran when Jesse asks the great question we all want to ask. How do we start? Instead of advocating for expensive and many times inaccessible lab testing he says: 1.Eat diversely. 2.Consider intermittent fasting. 3.Go into, touch and eat in nature. 4. Get a 🐕 5. Don't oversteilize your environment. 6. Reduce stress To increase keystone species: 1. Increase fiber-he eat towards 100 grams! 2. Prebiotics 3. Polyphenols This is the best interview on microbiome I've listed to. Thank you! Subscribed

Great host you are! Great challenging questions. Dr Goldhamer is a great man, researcher and implemented, he seems to have helped so many people. Hopefully many more will understand that fasting is the solution to all health problems and by that I mean, each of us has to find which fast suits us. Thank you Jesse for all the great guests and long informative podcasts.

Hey, I'm Jonathan Griffiths, a 29-year-old with a BSc in Human Nutrition from Bournemouth, Dorset. My journey as an amateur bodybuilder has been unique due to a fused spine from a rugby injury at 14 and my Autism. Despite these hurdles, I've found incredible success on the carnivore diet over the past four years, after other pain relief methods failed. I have since competed twice as a carnivore bodybuilder, with my recent showing on June 2nd 2024 where I placed first against an extremely competitive line-up. I am going to the British finals to try and earn my pro card. Meanwhile, I have had my spine fused in 2022, and various procedures to try and reduce the pain I am in. I am currently primarily a body composition coach in the carnivore community and have helped hundreds of people to reach their goals. The carnivore diet is my only option to try and thrive, and I love it! My diet mainly includes beef, salmon, chicken, eggs, cheese, milk, and butter. I avoid fruits, veggies, grains, nuts, seeds, oils, and sugars. I drink water, coffee, and bone broth. No calorie counting here, just focusing on around 300 grams of protein and fat each day for the past 4.5 years. In the beginning, I lost 5 pounds and felt a surge in energy, focus, and calmness. I woke up refreshed, with no cravings or GI issues. My workouts stayed strong, with better muscle pumps, vascularity, and faster recovery. The diet eased the pain and stiffness in my spine, giving me more freedom and comfort. It reduced my need for medications and improved my autism-related symptoms, like anxiety and mood swings. My social skills and communication also got better. Blood tests before and after the diet showed my liver and kidney damage from a virus had healed. My cholesterol was stable, blood pressure improved, and blood sugar levels stayed low. My liver and kidney functions were normal, with no nutrient deficiencies or hormonal issues. This diet has been eye-opening, challenging many common dietary beliefs. I've learned that meat is highly nutritious and satisfying, and plants aren't essential or particularly beneficial for me. This is especially relevant given the genetic and metabolic traits seen in people with autism. I've stuck to the carnivore diet, with occasional treats like 'Hot Pot' and Korean BBQ, which I can cook myself at restaurants. On my KZfaq channel 'Carnivore Muscle,' I share my carnivore lifestyle, training tips, nutritional advice, and recipes, building a community of fellow carnivores and inspiring others to try this way of life. I fully recommend the carnivore diet to anyone looking to improve their health, fitness, and well-being, especially fellow bodybuilders and those with spinal conditions or autism. In my view, it's the best way to enhance both body and mind. 💪🥩🚀
