The Palace of Holyroodhouse, commonly referred to as Holyrood Palace, is the official residence of the Monarch of the United Kingdom in Scotland. Located at the bottom of the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, at the opposite end to Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace has served as the principal residence of the Kings and Queens of Scots since the 16th century, and is a setting for state occasions and official entertaining.

I've not come across these racist comments but I bet you wouldn't give a tinker's cuss what colour skin the man had if he was shedding his blood to protect you and yours. Racist comments say more about your own shortcomings than it does about anyone whose skin isn't of the purest white.

Broadsidejohn Yeah but when it comes to thinks identified with the Scots, ie the Kilt, the Scots prefer they be referred to as Scottish rather than British, as many people in Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland have come to identify foreigners referring to British people as meaning only English people, hence the correction, obviously nimm knows that Scots are british too, but to save confusion like this they are usually identified as Scottish though yes they are a part of the British military; and Prince Charles wears a kilt because technically speaking he is prince of Scotland as well (though the titles of Kings/Princes of Scotland and England disintegrated on the joining of the two into the Kingdom of Great Britain formally recognised in 1707) as England as the Scottish inherited the English throne upon the death of Elizabeth I with King James I of England; so by all rights he can wear a kilt as much as any Scotsman, the English people themselves, not so much.
