I'm from an African country ( in light green) and despite never having had any civil war, major disagreement, violence on a large scale of any sort, we are still not dark green. Has a lot to do with how people from other continents view us I guess.

(Finland which is nordic, but not scandinavian is number 14). Compare that to the US at rank 121, just four places apart from the "low" category.

So for January; 31-1 tells how many days it takes to go from the first to the last day; 30 days. 31-1+1 tells how many days there are in total. Very important to not mix these up.
