This is one of the main reason why I do not like the GM. She's already predicting that Shiyi is going to screw up so they need Lianfang. She has never given Shiyi the credit she deserves. If Lingyi/her daughter in law wouldn't have forced her hands she would left Lianfang in charge. Lianfang has created problems after problems but she still refuses to see the truth. If Shiyi hadn't stepped in/fix the problems that was created by Lianfang's nanny then the entire family would've been destroyed. The only Lianfang is capable of doing is blaming others when she screws up. Her go to line is "I didn't know"... She really stupid for being a legitimate daughter/the GM ignores this fact. Shiyi is finally given the power that should've been hers from the very beginning. The GM used the managing of the household to sideline Shiyi as the legal wife. She was treating Lianfang as the legal wife by giving her all the power/authority that goes with this position. It's for this reason that Lianfang believes that all of this belongs to her. The GM created a monster/she doesn't know how to control it. I really detest the GM. Lingyi really knows how to create an uncomfortable environment...lol He didn't want Shiyi to get the wrong idea which is why he asked her to stay. Now both women are uncomfortable..lol Worst date EVER

Or when she kept running to those production people who just make up crap or are paid by other houses to harm. Women kicked her out what 6 times over the years because some quack said she was the problem. Every time she almost dies and mom just says I had to listen for the family. Dude after the 1 st time I would tell my mom she try’s it ever again she has a hard time leading the family

Unfortunately the old battle ax constantly used the family rules/emotional blackmail to control him. She knew he was a filial son/that he would do whatever she told him to because of the guilt he felt for his father's/older brother's death. He avoided Lianfang from the start. His mother was the only one fooled by her innocent act. He saw firsthand how Lianfang/the other concubines were bartering for favors during the mourning period for his late wife. Giving control of the household to Lianfang was in a sense treating her like the legal wife. She was doing this because she always wanted her to become his legal wife but Yuanniang spoiled her plans. Now the only thing she can do at this point is to give Lianfang the power and authority of the legal wife while treating Shiyi as the concubine. The GM was a danger to her family by giving Lianfang so much power.

@@shontelagrone8713 you and I both know that she uses the rules to suit her twisted POV but blind to Lianfang because supposedly knows better. GM is actively looking away. And her maid had the perfect opportunity to warn her 0:08

Ya she’s such a spoiled selfish girl that acts like she’s owed everything and when any problem happens she’s quick to toss all the blame on them. She’s the ultimate it’s never her fault everyone is trying to ruin her.

@@mizbootsie8175 the reason is her inner circle has convinced her that Shiyi stole her position as the legal wife/that he actually loves her. When the GM gave her the power/authority that goes with being the legal wife it convinced her that everything that she currently has belongs to her. The GM caused so many problems with Lianfang because she continued to treat her as if she was the legal wife/Shiyi was the concubine. So she fighting for a man that clearly has no interest in her/never have...it's what happens when the people around you continues to lie to you instead of telling you the truth. The GM continues to tell her that she has to try harder as if that's going to work. The nanny/the maid continues to tell her that Shiyi stole her position/that's why he treats her this way. For a nutcase like her hearing all of this lies only feeds her delusions.

@@notadvertised5089 She loves the fictionalized version of the boy she meet as a child and has made no effort to know him as a man and persecution delusion...Shiyi could literally care less about her. She didn't want to manage the house, just live peacefully.
