You could try redirecting the lrad back at them. Try some old satelite dishes or even really large metal mixing bowls and try to aim the sound back at the operator. Try the air powered tube like they use at sporting events as a t shirt cannon to send stuff back at them. Put that really sticky black stuff, that the manufacturer claims can seal a hole in a boat and make it watertight, in a breakable container or balloon and shoot that over. If it gets in the winches or on the lrad or anywhere else, it will really muck them up.1 I see these videos and they are evolving and coming up with new ways to fight back and you folks at a standstill. They have water cannons, you should have bigger ones with more range. Use one with high pressure and small nozzle and the water will be almost like a cutter. For a prop fouler, in addition to the buoys, add a pair of inflatable balloons that inflate 30 seconds after water contact so it really floats up into the prop. You really need a dirty tricks department. Try fireworks.

What did they throw at 6:44?

First, they need to put more powerful engines on the Bob Barker, so they can outrun the harpoon ships. Secondly, I would have been satisfied with them circling me for hours, if not an entire day, costing them thousands of dollars in wasted time,... time they are not harpooning whales.

The Bob Barker has a large inboard engine to make it capable of approaching the maximum hull speed for their full displacement hull. It is rated to 3000 horsepower. For a 400hp diesel inboard, you should expect to burn around 30-50 gallons per hour (which is around 1-1.5 tons). Obviously, a 3000hp engine burns way more, somewhere in the rough range of 200-400 gallons per hour, which is around 6-12 tons of fuel. The amount of fuel they burn is insane compared to how many whales they have actually saved.
