Really good video, many thanks. If you could slow the footage down a little we would be able to say the method of burning the lettering just a little better. I slowed it down to half speed on my mac.

I don’t want you to think my comments were derogatory as you have spent a lot of time to produce this post. Your tutorial is one of the best for this subject but my search was for information for advice on the nib type and your lovely instruction was the best but I needed to see the best nib application and rotation technique which was speeded up. Many thanks Guy in the UK

@guydwelly Hi Guy! I didn't find it offensive at all, I am still pretty new to creating videos, and I really appreciate the feedback. I create my videos in the hope that they will help someone, so hearing how I can do that is definitely a positive thing, and you were actually really nice about it! The reason I speed up my videos is because I thought showing the whole process at full speed would be too boring and that nobody would want to spend the time to watch them. Seeing your comment has made me reconsider. It could be that I need more confidence in myself and that thinking that nobody would watch my videos if they aren't sped up is related to that.

I'm surprised there's more wood-burning content. It's definitely on the more satisfying side of creative content- from a visual perspective anyway. You seem quite adept with small-fonts. But, have you tried working with different scripts? Something like Japanese (kana and kanji), Korean, or Hindi? Many Asian writing systems have a more art-like aesthetic, so it may be interesting to work with them on wood.

That's a great question! It's actually a tapered point tip but it's an old tip that I accidentally bent from using too much pressure when I was first learning proper technique. I realized that it works great for lettering and kept it, I guess you could say it's custom 🤣
