No, the best versions of The shadow of your smile came from both Andy Williams and Englebert Humperdink. They had the softness, plus the power and range in their respective voices to bring out the best in this song, or any song for that matter. Englebert's "From here to eternity" is another masterpiece. This film - The Sandpiper - too was a haunting melodrama of a married man attached to the church, who meets a woman painter on the beach and gradually falls in love with her. It was never planned - the love that is - it just happened. They are drawn to each other, even though they try and fight these forbidden feelings by soft-peddling the emotional issue. Eventually, the padre [Richard Burton] goes back to his dutiful wife [Eva Marie Saint] while the painter [Elizabeth Taylor] nurses her fractured heart. To each of their acting roles, both Burton and Taylor always brought a unique singularity. All things come to an end, yet each ending is it's own beginning. In certain ways a liberation, while in others, sadness often comes from this perennial rhythm of nature.

Hello uploader, the orchestration is obviously from The Sandpiper 1965 movie but the voice is not. I do not know if you could adjust the frequency but surely not, I guess it's been covered by someone probably you. And if so you're awesome.
