The Vees' whole plot this season was really understated - they didn't plan on doing anything, but however the outcome went, they came out ahead. If the overlords were convinced to fight, they'd suffer huge losses while the Vees didn't. In the event they weren't convinced, they had a very public "I told you so" that they dropped on the overlords, which would cost them moral support. The only risk they faced was if the overlords killed Velvette for sassing them in the meeting, which was unlikely given how slow to act said overlords were. It's a chickenshit little plot, but I have to hand its effectiveness to them.

also something to keep in mind about vox here is that he's sitting there calling alastor a coward and all that. but how long do ya think vox would have lasted against adam. vox would have ended up like sir pentious.

Not rlly vox was stated by vivzie to be one of the strongest overlords he would have likely stood a better chance than alastor ever could. He's actually smart for watching his rival struggle

Vox is supposedly stronger than Alastor and among the strongest Overlords in Hell overall right now. Alastor dunked on him verbally during Stayed Gone, but Val places a specific emphasis on the fact that Alastor "almost" beat him, and that was before he disappeared. Since then, Alastor went dormant for 7 years with unknown reasons likely connected to Lilith, while Vox had that whole time free to himself to keep making deals with sinners and growing stronger, so the power difference between the two is likely actually much bigger nowadays.

two facts that are in valvettes defence 1 velvet is stated be the younget overlord outright 2 velvet is stated be the glue between vox and val as she stated in her song " im the backbone of the vees" she is literaly only ting keeping them topghether now days she basicly os the aughter she lives with them and is alot younger than them she is basicly the adopted child sh is a genz teenager who died as a teenager and got in with some bad people

Okay dude it’s really hard to understand what are you even saying with this grammar… And btw it is unknown how old Velvette is, her age was never unfold by Vivzi or any other member of a production crew, but anyway I highly doubt she is a teen and that she is under a bad influence of Vox and Valentino where does it even come from lol she is the most mature one out of them three

A teen? Definitely not,but she IS the youngest of the Vees. It's essentially a young woman and her 2 gay dads.

8:16 I believe that it is true. Another thing about the "clipped wings" metaphor could be that Alastor could have been more powerful at one point. It's unlikely (he probably made the deal to gain MORE power but we don't know the details of that yet so that's up in the air) but it would also help to explain his 7 year absence. Overlord Killer suddenly gets put under a contract and loses some of his power in the process? (They might not know about it but when you have heavy hitters challenging you when you suddenly lost a bunch of power it wouldn't go well) With a target that big on your back it would be better to lie low for a bit. Keep yourself alive and bide your time until an opportunity presented itself. What better opportunity to be free of your contract than to have the princess of hell, Heir to the throne, in your pocket? If a contract can be broken then someone from the top would know about it, even if they can't its still a hell of a bargaining chip. (Take all of this with a grain of salt it is a theory after all.)

I honestly feel like Alastor's big plot-important deal was made before he even entered Hell in the first place. He canonically rose to the point of toppling major Overlords basically as soon as he arrived - this was laid out in both the rough-canon Pilot (by Vaggie) and in Dad Beat Dad (by Mimzie) - which is anomalously fast to become such a major threat. He may have been a satanist or some equivalent in his mortal life, did some sort of ritual/sacrifice to summon a demon, then made a deal while still alive to guarantee himself power when he arrives in Hell, not realizing the drawbacks that come with someone else owning your soul. Said demon later comes to collect, suddenly he's screwed and has to bow to their strings, now has to desperately search for a way out of the deal while retaining his power.

Most people don’t like the Vee’s because they only see Charlie and them’s perspective. They literally didn’t even know angels could die, why the hell would you go out there when you could stay out of sight.

I understand why you would het the vees but honestly i love them, it might be because of how dirty they are that i just wanna see where it's going, i also loved their reactions in the last episodes as well as their part of the song, but also their dynamic is so interesting. Hope they get their own song in season 2.
