This week we head south along the Silver city hwy as its pretty much the only road open heading south, stock up at broken Hill and then live it up at the silverton van park.

I have just spent 3 months in Europe. Ads on KZfaq are much more reasonable. Perhaps one or two at the beginning and end. Rarely in the middle. It is a shocker coming back to see what happens in Australia. Thanks for going ad free.

Another great video and great timing - I just arrived in Silverton today and staying a few nights at Penrose Park which is quiet so far and hopefully stays that way!!

It's a great place to stay and plenty of room to spread out, wasn't the parks fault for the noise of those powered gliders. Make sure you check out the camel farm

Best advice is allow plenty of time, or don't bite off to much. Big kilometres in the car ain't fun for the kids, so really important to know what distance you might do on a outback trip

Hope you went to the bells milk Bar in broken Hill. It's worth a visit to broken Hill.

Thanks guys. We did a similar trip in August last year. Lightning Ridge, Burke, Broken Hill, Silverton, Mundi Mundi Bash. Then down to Menindee Lakes. There was a lot of rain about then too. Stay safe.

I was out at Silverton back in March 2022 for a Mad Max event for the official opening of the replica of the "Compound" from the MM2 film. Did you see that at the camel farm? This was also after a big wet that even flooded the caravan park. 😮 I almost got bogged in a couple of spots. 🙄 We didn't have those powered hang gliders buzzing around us. I can see how that would be such a pain☹ but we were certainly surrounded by those little birds that Hayley was feeding. 😋

Yeah the kids got to see all the mad Max gear at the camel farm, I was exploring the outskirts of town with the dogs. They had massive rain this year too, and road in only opened a few weeks before we got there

Yeah alot of the original stuff we couldn't film, and the do have a couple of the original vehicles, but no original phase 4 pursuit cars. Fun little museum 🤠, cheers guys for the support 👍

Great work I watched an episode were you use an army amo box to store butane bottles how many do you store the one I got from bunnings only holds 4 .

I think we could fit 5 or 6, but I'm going away from that little burner because I hate throwing away the empty bottles, I'd love to find a diesel stove like some of the international overlanders use

at Silverton where the railway tracks and windmill were could you free camp instead at caravan park, i would have.

Maybe next time, we seen all the signs saying no camping, but I doubt if anyone cares so long as people don't leave any trace. Thanks for the tip 🤠

Yeah it's a 2016 lifestyle breakaway plus2. Last year it was made in Australia. 1100kg tare weight too with gvm of 2000kg! Simply, fast and easy to modify, problem is finding one for sale
