I've made this request before, can you do the same house through the decades? Like how the same house would look in the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90, 2000s, 2010s and now. I think it can be a really fun series, seeing how the furniture and home evolves over the years, and with all the packs now there would be great items to use like the old tv from eco lifestyle and the record player thing from high school years with the hidden objects cheats!

The Spanish room looks like a room you'd find in a Cortijo, traditional upper class house in the south, which is understandable since it is usually the most recognizable one and they do have moroccan influences. When you venture further north houses look nothing like this and it's a bit sad that masías (Cataluña), caseríos (País Vasco) or pazos (Galicia) don't get as much recognition since they are stunning. That said, you did well, and after all it's just a game and trying to portray a Style of a place you've never been to, it's not serious, so don't sweat it too much! :)

Hi lovely! Spaniard here! You did a superb job! I was so happy to see you do this challenge :) Your room looks like a classic Spanish Cortijo or something like that, from southern Spain which actually is really close to Morocco and shares a lot of aesthetics with moroccan style, so it is absolutely fine. As someone who went to boarding school in Thailand, I think you did better with that room than you think. Darker wood colors and jewel toned fabrics remind me of it a lot. And gold decor too! Also, from the brief amount of time I visited Peru, I think the bright tapestries were a good try considering this is the Sims. I remember all the floors being tile/laminate since it was so hot. But the colors and flowers part was true. They did love bright colors. 😊

I'm Thai and I'd probably struggle to build with Thai theme in The Sims 4 either 😂 You did pretty well though. The room divider was spot on. I'd say for traditional Thai, the elements you'd need are floor dining table, triangle pillows, gold decorations, lotuses, etc. Probably Spa day pack is the closest vibe but for more like modern Thai.

I think the Spain rendition is a bit americanized because your references were, too, but I could definitely see a room like this one in an Andalusian (southern Spain) house! If you ever want to dig a bit more in Spain architechture, I'll tell you I think you'd have a great time doing a Gaudí rendition in TS4 (you'll need CC for that one, for sure)! He was an architecht from Barcelona who was like THE Modernism (Art Nouveau) star artist. He used a lot of organic shapes, materials like ceramics and stunning colours.

Hello! Thai fan here. I’ve to say you did a pretty good job. The wooden furniture is nice. I love the wooden floor because here we have wooden floor everywhere.. Wood panelling is nice, but feature wall/accent wall is not very common in Thai home, they’re more common in hotels. Wooden door is great too. One or two things I would like to change is the blue wall and the pendent light. Blue wall is very uncommon, I have never been to any Thai home that has blue wall, only in public places. Most Thai home prefer white/cream/pale yellow wall. And the pendent lights is not quite Thai, I think putting a normal ceiling light or ceiling fan there would be more Thai. A ceiling fan above the dinning table is quite common in Thailand. Overall, you did a very good job. I have been watching your videos for months now and they always bring be joy. Can’t wait for your next video!

The thing about the US is that it's really just fifty-ish countries in a trench coat, each with their own cultures, local laws/government, and exports. Also sometimes we just hate the guys just across statelines and get huffy when we get lumped in with them. There's also the history of colonization, which means the styles used in modern day homes don't typically reflect the historical inhabitants of the land. An NYC industrial apartment is a style that exists, and given the difficulty of finding a purely US style, works pretty well. That it's a style you can do well, is probably a bonus.

Challenge suggestions: 1. Maybe you could put some food (fruit, veggies, cheese, meals, etc.) on the wheel and let the colors from whatever you land decide the room. 2. Maybe put some things on a wheel that are found in Space (astronomy related) and each room has to be inspired by that. For example, say you landed on Neptune or the Eagle Eye Nebula, then you could just decide to let the colors be the inspiration. 3. Since there are four seasons, what about a 4 story house or 3 story with a basement and each floor is a different season. 4. I did see that Plumbella came up with a decades challenge and maybe that video will inspire a challenge. 5. Maybe put holidays from around the world on wheel and each room is inspired by whatever you land on. 6. A puzzle challenge. Create rooms not connected to each other, design the rooms and try to put them together without changing anything inside the rooms. This would not include windows, front and back doors, outside wall treatment, etc., which is basically the outside stuff as that could be added at the end. This could also be done by picking rooms off the gallery, or picking rooms made by your followers and/or friends. 7. What about a 3 story house or 2 story with a basement and 1 floor expansion packs only, one floor game packs only, and one floor stuff packs only. An added bonus would be, randomly pick 3 build/buy kits, one for each floor, and you have to use something from that kit on that floor.

I think you did an amazing job! As an American, I'd be way too nervous to film something like this and have people scream "cultural appropriation" or "stereotypical" because that's been the big thing here in America recently. So we now constantly walk on eggshells as to not potentially offend various races/ cultures. Which is so sad because the point of America is to be a melting pot of people, ideas and cultures. Hence why we have so many various design styles with blended aesthetics throughout the country. Which is another reason I'd probably fail miserably at this challenge; because so many styles and cultures are blended here that it's hard to specifically point out what is from where. So it is super smart that you researched online for the design styles in each individual country. Anyways, LOVED this so much. Great job 🥰

We usually have an entrance, sometimes also a toilet opens from there, staircase, maybe a closet and then you enter the main rooms which can be seperated or open. I honestly cant recall a home in Europe where you enter in the living room but it does not mean it is not happening, that really is my experience from 3 different countries. And don’t worry In Thailand there are so many styles of dining room (Japanese style,Chinese style,European style etc. because Thai people embrace every culture) and the traditional Thai dining room you don’t need a dining table and chairs. Just sit on a clean mat and eat.🤣

I'm not an expert on any of the cultures in this video (aside from USA), but I think they all turned out beautiful, and really mesh well together because of your choice of colors!

Don’t feel bad that was a hard one considering the limited items/styles in the game and I feel like the dark woods downstairs tied it together a little even with the very different styles.

This was awesome, I loved the exposed brick in the American design, an absolute classic. The Spanish design is pretty good, Spain was once under the Islam Empire, which after they left the country left many influence in the design.

Spaniard here! I think your spanish room looks like the house you see in the south of the country, the only thing I would get rid is the fireplace as they are more typical in the north since the south is pretty warm, but it looks great! And actually the Moroccan furniture would have made sense as that area of Spain has a lot of Moroccan influence!

My parents live in Southern Spain, and they have a fireplace, as do many of the homes there since it gets a little chilly in the winter and the houses don't typically have central heating. Plus, it's cozy. While there are areas in Andalucia that have Morrocan decor due to the proximity/autonomous regions in Nothern Africa, and the Moorish influence from their time in the region, I'd characterize southern Spainsh emblematic style as more missionary-esque, which is why you see the influence in colonial Latin American and even American regions where Spanish colonizers settled. All that being said, I think she did a great job on the Spanish living room :)

Very fun idea! I understand struggling to translate an inspo pic into the real thing - I think having the same overall architecture style fit different interior design styles probably makes it very difficult as well!
