EA really did have some nerve to release this game to the public. Even their play through prior to release went disastrous! Shame on EA for taking money from people for this!!!

It's actually such a Shanice thing to do showing up to her sister's wedding in the same dress, it's not a broken feature, it's accurate.

This pack should be illegal. In the trailer, we clearly see a wedding planner and the bride and groom having different likes/dislikes for the cake, the flower bouquet, the dresses. I can not believe neither of these things that were advertised came on the pack. And also, can't believe EA got away with this till this day, can't believe they still are making money of this pack

This pack should have come with a honeymoon experience, hotels, and the heart shaped vibrating bed.

If you turn off autonomy for all sims the wedding ceremonies actually work pretty well, but that’s no excuse to make a broken pack and sell it for full price. EA is another breed istg

What is sad about MWS is that even if this pack was not buggy and glitchy I wouldn't buy or recommend it. Because even if they fix the bugs and glitches it does not come with substantial gameplay. This is suppose to be a game pack, it should come with substantial game play. But the truth is, it essentially the only thing it does is add more bullet points for you to do on the already existing wedding event from the base game. And even that is the bare minimum. It's called "My Wedding STORIES" it could have really expanded the story of you leading up to you marriage. Like they could have added online dating, or a system where you court someone, they could have improved on the relationship system, gave special wants and fears depending on their traits, have a proper pre-wedding events that actually work, have a honeymoon system. Like it's a fucking game pack. It should have game play elements. As much as Dine Out is buggy as fuck, at least that game pack actually have gameplay elements to it. If the fix that pack, that pack would honestly be ranked at B, maybe an A. You know Dine Out is a good pack if it's fixed, because Carl, fixed that pack, and honestly it's fun to play it. However, MWS and DHD these two packs literally have nothing in it but cute Build and Buy objects. Nothing more. Those two should have been a stuff packs. Paranormal Stuff Pack had more gameplay element in it than these two combined.

What is really sad is that modders who have extremely limited resources in comparison to Maxis can and do make better packs. Why did they not collab with someone in the wedding industry? Why were their not at least 2 jobs with this pack, wedding planner and wedding dress/cake shop owner? Why was there not freelance jobs added like a wedding bartender/DJ? None of these things are impossible to do in the engine and yet they did not add them.

This pack will never get fixed. Dine Out is still broken too and it has been years.

Ugh my sims got married the other day. Everyone arrived *after* the vows, despite being told to take their seats. (Oh and my sim walking the wrong way up the aisle, twice!) Then someone had the *audacity* to EAT a slice of the fricking cake before the bridge and groom got to cut it! Then they all blocked the dance floor so my sims couldn’t have their first dance. Absolute shenanigans.

We'll never get tired of beating that pack, will we?))) The choose a wedding cake thing worked for me with a cake my sim made herself.

I had flashbacks to my own wedding. It felt like herding cats at times. Just after walking down the aisle, when my husband and I were talking to our wedding party, I turned around and found everything and everyone gone. Some very helpful people had cleared out all the chairs, plus the table we used as an altar and all the related stuff, and everyone had gone inside, ready for dinner. I had to have someone go back and get some of the equipment back and call out family members because we needed them for pictures!

This pack always impressed me in one way - it ranks up with Batuu as a pack that I'd never buy even at 75% off.

Running a bridal shop would’ve been fun! Kind of like the thrift tea shop but for wedding outfits instead of teen fashion!

U have to click the cake & select it as the wedding cake. Then the cake will show up on that space in the menu

One time I went through SO much to get the perfect venue, cake, officiant, etc for my legacy sims and when I went to start the wedding no one showed up and random sims came instead and ruined the food and cake

Sims 3 also had a "dancer" at the bachelorette party

Other than every feature of the pack being completely broken, my biggest gripe with this is how it excludes so many other ceremony traditions. Most of the wedding ceremony stuff is from Christian practices. Where is the broom jumping? Where’s the handfasting? And a dozen other wedding ceremony practices they could have included a cute little animation for. That seems to be the thing they like to leave out of packs most often isn’t it? The animations.

For the bouquet to work you need to click on one sim who is standing behind your sim and find the interaction Throw bouquet to.

Also i would just like to say that the big lot? Absolute snorefest to play on. Nobody ever walks past because of how it's laid out and such and so my sims never meet anyone. Played in the world once, got bored, started a new save game 😪😪

My game doesn't recognise any of my engaged sims as engaged, so I can't plan a wedding at all 🙃 The world is nice to look at but that's effectively all I've paid for!

You have to do it from the calendar to plan the wedding ahead, but they game should definitely tell you beforehand 😭 Being jumpscared into a wedding is not ideal

What i also hate about this pack is that the world is obviously greek inspired and that's really cute and all BUT it's named Tartarosa...which in greek mythology was basically hell for the people in the afterlife.

it's so wild because if this pack actually worked, it could've been the best game pack since it actually came with so much, yet nothing works xx

I usually just remove the doors of the rooms where I want the sims to be in and remove some items that might distract them when I do a wedding. Since the sims can't get out they usually stay seated or on the altar because there's noting else they can do. It's not perfect but it help my sanity.

Also, if you pick the day on the calendar, you can set the day for the wedding, rather than using the phone. :)

The cake is not broken!! when you plan your wedding on the calendar it will not apear , but click on the cake ( in your inventory) it and an option will appear saying choose wedding, I think, and when you go to the wedding plans and it will appear.

I use TwistedMexi's Dual Wedding System. I use base game weddings (under plan a social event on the phone) and get base game goaled event. Then I throw in whatever interactions I want such as walk down the aisle, toast, dance, etc. I didn't even buy the pack until I knew that was an option.

I usually buy TWO cakes because I've had sims literally take a piece before the wedding even starts.

The only pack I haven’t got and never ever want to get because I listened to the warnings from SimsTubers who were honest and didn’t sugarcoat the issues and I’m glad that I still have base-game weddings rather than this monstrosity of a pack. The items are beautiful but gameplay is so much more important to me even though The Sims 4 has become more of a dollhouse builder than a life simulator. Every pack caters to builders, this franchise has lost its roots and it’s no surprise why other life simulation games are popping up on the radar now as competitors.

I could mimic dance floors in the sims 4 base game by using an athlete exercise mat and adding terrestrial saucers lights to it.

If your sims are all off the lot again for some reason, Satch, you can click on their little lightning bolt icons to get an assortment of options, including working on a skill, taking control of the sim (takes you to the lot they're on), and bringing the sim to the current lot. The lightning bolt is the default of course, and it's the option for taking care of your needs, but it's been a bit poorly implemented as sims won't take care of their needs all the time... if ever...?? lol

So does anybody know if its possible to turn the gameplay part off (like with a mod maybe?) so we can keep the dresses and world etc?

If there's something positive (not really) about its gameplay, it brings in some chaos, though. 😆 It was the first and only pack I bought for my Xbox (the free Get to Work doesn't count). I didn't get that far that my sims would have had a wedding itself, but the other related events yes and they were glitchy, obviously, and I had no idea if the chosen venues lacked the needed build items. And yet, I decided to switch to PC, so in this July, I had to purchase it again for just a few weeks after the Xbox version because of the world, CAS and build mode items. 😅

I have a bug where any sim (engaged married or none of the above) can ask any sim to be in a role in their non existant wedding. It's so broken

I once baked a cake for my sims wedding and i accidentally put it in the dishwasher and the second time my sim put it in the dishwasher and the third time my sim took a bite before selecting it for the wedding and the fourth time bella goth came to my house and put the cake in the dishwasher and the fifth time my sim died from a meteor and i had to bring him back to life with mc command center and before that was done another sim took a bite of the cake and the sixth time in succeeded but at the wedding the cake couldnt be set anywhere so that was 1000 simoleon for nothing and my sims couldnt pay rent so the elictricity and power got cut of and then my fridge broke and because i couldnt pay for it i had make my sim do it and my sim got elecrocuted and died

I noticed you have autonomy on when trying to have a wedding trust me when I tell you this and I'm sure many have done this but My Wedding Stories pack is an absolute nightmare when autonomy is on I have had my best experiences when I turn them off now can't accommodate for NPCs outside your household but for the most part the NPCs you really care about with roles that aren't the guest wil work pretty smoothly in all honesty everyone's experiences are different but I promise that this pack is pretty decent when autonomy is OFF, yes it sucks that it has to be that way cuz it shouldnt but listen if your trying to have the full magical day to be perfect TURN AUTONOMY OFF... Your welcome😁

yeah, they fixed it, now it is not broken in 99% but only in 98% XD I hate so much mikroplanning in here. I think when you make rehersal wedding you should be able to queue there every action you want tto happen during wedding and then while official wedding you should watch how everything is happening one by one. AND if you dont wan't just watch but micromanage everything by yourself - just don't make rehersal wedding. Anyone found base game conversion build/buy custom content from this pack? I would love to have some b&b objects but I don't want to have broken weddings in gameplay :P

This pack was just so sad. I recently held a wedding and none of my family showed up! Nobody did the actions it was just all cancelling all the time! Nobody was wearing formal wear, sims didn't really sit down. It was such a sad mess! At this point a rabbithole wedding would have been better!
