Reselling of sneakers will always be a thing but I never expected Nike to allow the resell market to dominate the way it has been. They'll keep making adjustments to prices to decrease the profit of resellers and that will make things better for collectors. If they ever figure out how to effectively decrease or eliminate the use of bots it will really change the game for collectors and the average buyer.

It's like it's a sneakerhead collectors market right now because I'm adding onto my collection with this market of shoes

i think its the best time for resellers to re-up on there inventory because what goes' down must go up and what goes' up must go down so its a win for the normal buyer and a win for the reseller

Growing up resale was not a thing. I am glad things are slowing down because I can acquire some much needed kicks.

I’m glad resale is dying off, I like getting the shoes I want at retail. My issue is I don’t need anymore shoes in my collection unless it’s something I have to have. So I have been more selective in my pickups, which looks like more are doing the same.

I think a lot of it is that our generation is becoming smarter with money now that we have families and homes to maintain etc and the new generation isn't a Jordan generation per se...they're not rocking Jordans to the extent we do/did... obviously hype Jordans are hype Jordans and any generation is gonna grab em up but resell prices are based on what the buyer is WILLING to pay!....if people sat strong then resellers would be dropping prices just to sell.....nobody will sit on massive stock for no reason....just not smart for any business....but im loving being able to get shoes cheaper ill tell you that much

I’m a procurement buyer in the apparel industry with a minor in finance and you’re correct, the state of the market today will be here for a few more years. Great for those who are retail or bust buyers but not so great for those who make a living off resale. I guess you can say the industry is balancing itself out after the boom we seen the last few years.

It's not dead. The resellers profit margins are just on life support. If you find the right shoe for the right price you can still eat.

Naw man it was just a phase . It was awesome back then. People growing up having other priorities now. Resellers killed it. When footlocker, etc. Changed the app killed it for me. I did like going to check in, for the raffle. And plus spending over $200 for every release it can be really expensive.

Auction sites like WhatNot are being effected. The chat is no longer outta control with their spending it shows in the attitudes of the presenters/ streamers. I resell sneakers to build up my accounts to better my chances to hit on hype sneakers. The profit that I make I put towards my own sneakers.

I think a lot has to do with resellers greed. Not all but alot of them resell a shoe for double, triple and even higher than that just becaue of hype. Not to mention reps are getting scarry good so what would you do when money is tight buy overpriced resell shoes or go with reps. It is tough choice.

It seems resellers are going mostly for collabs cause those are considered the "hypest" shoes with lots of attention and are usually lower in quantity...so I guess if you are mostly a general release collector then yeah its getting better for us. Barring things like certain dope kicks being a women's only release (Satin Breds....sorry giganto foot gang) looks like people can get what they want for retail or close to/under it if they just lay off the trigger BEFORE release day. I'd personally LOVE a pair of Jarritos or Born x Raised, but I ain't paying THOSE prices for NEITHER of those sneakers...mess is ridiculous
