Dave & Gareth sit down on Trash Toon's to show us Candian animator, Ted Eshbaugh's 1932 classic cartoon, The Snowman. Walt Disney was such a huge fan of Eshbaugh's work that he bought him and then f@#$ed him over so badly, he ended his career.

To be fair, those bears look like Mickey Mouse which had been around for four years by then, not that Disney designed him either for that matter.

Imagine how bright the colors of the original prints were. Against the dark blue and stark white this would have melted some skulls of the theater goers. The melting and hot color sky Feed me up. I want a copy of this and a 4-way of "Mr. Natural"!

People in the comment keep saying Dave(the daddy who owns the cinema) is mean to Garreth(the hot, invited one). They're not. Dave and Garreth already cleared this up in their Dollop Podcast in episode 373 - Gangster Monk Eastman, Dave's not mean to Garreth, it's their style

I really hope this doesn't die any time soon. You can tell they're getting a little more settled with the premise of these bits and figuring out the comedy of it. This, Boy Meets Dog, and Les Escargots are my favorites so far.

Hey! This cartoon didn't have any blatant racism, sexism, or other terrible social nonsense. Definitely a trash cartoon, but at least it wasn't any of the things I previously said (unless I overlooked something).

That was great. I love old stuff from the early half of the 20th century...except the racism, that stuffs bayd. True story, this was based off the ancient legend of the jewish alchemist that brought a clay golem to life. Probably. o>O
