The song that played in my head when I first saw this scene is not even produced by Sega. It was a fan made song by dagames called can't hold me back. It has the same energy as live and learn with the chiptunes from the classic games. I noticed something on my most recent viewing of this movie. When Sonic speaks in his super form, not only does he sound serious but his voice is shaking like he’s struggling to control the power of the Chaos Emeralds from overtaking him. It’s a little thing but Ben Schwarz did a good job in conveying the struggle Sonic was having over his control.

Solaris Phase 2 and Super Sonic v.s Dark Gaia, are both the best fitting songs, it gives you a sense of hope, a dream, that you will win. It symbolizes Sonic, a speeding and chill hedgehog, into a serious yellow blur of light. When he's around, you know he's here to save the day.

I would say Seven Rings in Hand fits best, since Super Sonic basically portrays Sonic as having god-like powers. But my god, Open Your Heart takes the cake. Solaris Phase 2 with the little bit of “His World” is just incredible. The Unleashed and Colors soundtracks give me chills, especially when paired with scenes like this. Like I said, Open Your Heart fits slightly better than all of the others that I’ve mentioned.

The lyrics are “Try to reach inside of me, *try to drain my energy*, let me show you just What I’m made of…”. In this film, Eggman’s just trying to kill Sonic.

I agree on Open your heart, but for a different reason. Back in the day, Open Your Heart played during the first 3D appearance of Super Sonic. This is the first movie appearance of Super Sonic. I would’ve liked Open Your Heart to play. We gotta get Live and Learn in Sonic 3.

I’d like to thank you Ryan 15:16 this track from forces final boss got me back into the series. I heard it in the sonic 1 movie videos that you did. I loved it so much I bought the game and beat just to hear it in game. I wasn’t a big fan of forces but I got into the franchise again. I got my younger brother to play the classics along with the 3d games. We both had some great times together. Days I’ll surely never forget.

I've managed to get my sister to play and beat forces and in frontiers she got to the point where she has to go up the waterfall now. She hated classic sonic stages and is probably never going to play any of the classics

That Sonic 06 medley was a perfect fit! I don't know why the movie's producers couldn't afford any Sonic game music to put in. It would have been perfect! The His World/Solaris Phase 2 orchestral buildup and main part would have truly felt like a true expression of the majesty that is Super Sonic.

I think in terms of fitting the scene the Sonic Colors theme works best. It starts with this uplifting buildup which fits Sonic lifting the foot perfectly, and it has lighter bits of music that perfectly work as backing music to the dialogue scenes. In terms of capping off the themes of the movie, the best theme is Live and Learn, since the whole movie is about Sonic learning and becoming more responsible.

@@clarkstrange2142 Well I can somewhat understand why, but yet at the same time yeah it's pretty outrageous. Hears the thing, Sonic the Hedgehog isn't *just* kids. Hell there are some moments in the movies that aren't so child-friendly. And hearing the news that Jeff Fowler says Sonic Movie 3 is gonna be very different then it's predecessors in terms of tone, I think KZfaq needs to rethink about the comments.

The 06 melody definitely takes it ovrr all, but Dark Gaia Phase 2's "I see it, I see it" sync is cathartic and if it happened in theaters I may have actually cried. Of course, if they actually used game music anywhere I'd have cried, but still. Best music sync goes to Dark Gaia Phase 2.

To me, Super Sonic vs Dark Gaia and the Sonic Colors final Boss theme are the PERFECT themes for Super Sonic, and I'm glad you added them to this video and the Unleashed Melody from the Sonic Sympthony surprisingly fit this theme as well.

I think these all fit the scene well, but if I had to rank them then here is what I'd do. 12: Sonic Unleashed Medley. 11: Open your heart. 10: Knight of the Wind. 9: Seven Rings in Hand. 8: Dr. Eggman Showdown. 7: Perfect Dark Gaia. 6: Live and Learn. 5: What I'm Made Of. 4: Death Egg Phase 3. 3: Solaris Phase 2. 2: Nega Wisp Phase 2. 1: Sonic 06 Medley. Again, all these songs fit the scene so well. It was honestly really difficult ranking them.

Everyone’s talking about how 06 fits perfectly, but no one’s mentioning how the Forces theme works SO WELL! Like how it hits the triumphant moment right when he begins to tear the Eggman Bot apart. And how the horns kick in again when he catches the fist. It just fits so well. And right when the music hits the high he taps the robot.

Open Your Heart cannot be that perfectly timed, besides the end of the fight, but the start, definitely matched 🔥, Probably should have stopped Open Your Heart at 1:49, so it perfectly matched

3 song is essential for Sonic movie if shadow was there 1 Live and learn (shadow and sonic team up) 2 I am all of me( shadow comming out of his cell) 3 any song will be acceptable.

I always felt like the Death Egg Phase 3 was lackluster in that " drop switch " ( the opening is the most chilling and epic shit i've heard in years ) but it works really well with this scene !

The 30th Anniversary Medleys 100% take the cake for me, especially the 06 one. The just perfect timing from every single moment of that song with the scene was just beyond perfect and honestly that would've made me cry if it actually played in the movie.

Personally "What I'm Made Of" works best for me, because the movie gave me lots of Sonic Heroes vibes, especially with their fight against the death egg robot

to be honest it was a missed opportunity to not at least include a remix of one of these songs. I feel like they could have easily gotten rights to the melody or something.

I’m excited to see what they do with the music of Sonic 3! Sonic games have such an amazing library of music, even outside of the super sonic themes, I’d love to see them utilize it a bit more!
