Hey Josh , hope you're having a great day Buddy. I did the motor-drop conversion several years ago. It's the single best performance modification you can do to a Trailfinder. Only down side is its best to put the steering arm to the opposite side so you don't hit the motor...that's the only thing. You want more flex , i'd do the O-ring modification(1/8 ID x 1/4 OD x 1/16 thick O-rings placed below and above the leaf pack)and take the little coil-springs out of the stock shocks. If those two things aren't enough...rearrange the leaf pack. I like running the middle leaf-springs on top for anti-wrap and short-leaf on bottom for support. If you have extra middle leaf-springs , I like like a middle leaf-springs on bottom and top with no small leaf. That'll get you just shy of 3 inches of flex with the stock shocks. With the taller shock-hoops and some longer shocks(90's at all four corner) I had just shy of 4 inches of flex. I've dialed-back the flex , might get 3 inches now. It's plenty for the trails.

She looks like it rides better with the 4 Runner body on it. Or is that just me? Good video and the reason why locktight is your friend. LOL Keep them coming love seeing your trucks running around.

you can also rotate the battery plate where it puts the battery right behind the transmission,there is room for the battery if you have the Tamiya interior, also the 0518 leaf spring is about 10mm shorter than the stock tf2 springs and brings the shackles back to where they don't look extended all the time..the trail stomper and tf1 uses a shorter spring and they recommended the 0518 so I ordered 4 sets and they look good. I got a few shackle reverse kits but I haven't installed any yet to check compatability with the shorter springs

Man its hard to make a leaf spring truck flex a lot. And about the screw problem use some clear finger nail polish on your screws strong enough to keep them form backing out. but its not as strong loctite

You might look into the o ring mod too for the leaf springs

Have you ever done 1960's Marx trucks or buddy l texaco fire trucks?
