Correction: the saturation plugin IVGI is freeware from Klanghelm, not Tokyo Dawn Labs. My apologies.

Fantastic! You can use ducking on the vocal so the sparkle only comes in at an end of a sentence.

Fabulous technique! You are giving me so many arrows to put in my quiver of audio engineering, I'm going to need a bigger quiver. 😄

I really like how you explain things with examples in a way that makes sense to me, I’ve been watching how to mix and record videos for about a year while building my space and I’ve done lots of recording over the years but not as an engineer so I appreciate how you break down the topic of the day without going too fast 💨 😅

Thank you AM777! This has a few things Ive not come across before.. ie I've not mid side'd before excited or upward compressed, tbh I'm still not sure how mid side works, and odds and even harmonics I've never heard on any YT vid 🤯🤕 (I don't think there's any out of the box plugins in S1 pro that do mid side?) So there's a lot for me to grow into here which I appreciate! And hearing the difference it makes does lead into a lot of options for creative exploration ie with frequencies rather than instruments which is 🤯lol 🙏🕊️

These are some nice tips, thanks! P.S. You credited Tokyo Dawn Labs for the saturation plugin, but it's from Klanghelm, another small studio that also makes great plugins worth checking out.

Oh you're right! Oops! Thanks for letting me know- I'll edit in a correction. And yes, I'm a big fan of both TDLabs and Klanghelm. They're both very kind to offer us such awesome plugins for free. Thank you!
