We're going to discuss how simple it is to install our plug-n-play spindle kits onto the Carbide3d Shapeoko Pro and 4 CNC machines.
Plug it in and your'e carving in less than 20min.
We'll discuss what comes in your kit, how to wire it up onto the Shapeoko Pro and even show you how to run a simple carve.

Great video Daniel. I know it would require getting another machine, but too bad you weren't able to show how this would hook up to a Longmill, for the folks who have that one. Is there a way to hook that up so it can be fully controlled by the G code software or the machine itself? Instead of turning it on manually. Thanks.

This will depend on how SpinDirection works. This is one of the pins on your Longmill controller and i believe this can be used to trigger the "forward" function on our VFD. Basically we have two wires available FWD and COM. When these two wires are connected, the forward function is triggered and the PWM/GND pins control the RPM's. If they are disconnected the forward function is disengaged.

Hello, Daniel. Can this same kit be used on a Onefinity Elite machine if I decide to switch to that machine from my Shapeoko Pro? In other words, is a separate purchase required for the Infinity machine or can either machine use this one kit? Thanks.

We've made careful improvements to our spindle system where the same kit can be used on a variety of CNC brand machines. The main difference between them will be the control cable ( pwncnc.com/products/control-cable ) and a few programming settings which are super easy to do.

In your opinion, would a 65mm spindle kit be an "upgrade" over the router that came with the Shapeoko? Spindles last longer, correct? More torque? Thank you.@@PwnCNC

@@daveyJ213 They are more of a sideways as far as power. However definitely an upgrade in terms of noise and endurance. If possible go with an 80mm motor... either 1.5kw 110v or 2.2kw 220v and you will definitely receive a power/torque boost. We do have an 80mm mount available for Shapeoko 5 Pro folks if you wanted to go that route.
