I will never forget as an 8 year old being taken by my parents to the cinema to see this, when Bond disappears over the edge of the cliff and his parachute opens to reveal the Union Jack practically the entire place cheered and whistled in appreciation, and to top it off during the ‘interval’ I was treated to a King Cone.

Best Bond movie ever. great intro, Carly Simon, Marvin Hamlisch, Jaws, Lotus helicopter chase, Barbara Bach, Caroline Munro, Stromberg, sleazy ending.

When I was a kid I used to watch James Bond movies when parents weren't home. I loved Jaws. He was the best and scariest villain I had ever seen on TV. Chases were exciting because James Bond had amazing devices against villains. Now he is only using his fists or a gun.

Great song, great movie. This was one of the first James Bond films I ever saw and it's still one of my very favorites. That ski chase has always been one of my favorite action sequences ever.

this was the long version, not the movie version. Back then we had long and short versions of certain songs. Perfect to boogie to at the disco.

My first bond film was Live and Let die which I watched in 1982 at the age of 8 on VHS. Suprisingly I did not initially watch it from the beginning but from the boat chase scene. My first Sean Connery film was Gold finger and because I had watched a couple of Roger Moore films, it was at first strange, I kept on looking for when Bond would appear and did not understand the film. Suprisingly by 1986, I had watched all the Bond films that had been done up to a View to a kill, whether on VHS or Television.

You and I share the same experience. This music made chace scenes even better. Ski chace and helicopter chacing James Bond's white car are my favorites. I had to upload this song here because an KZfaq account was deleted and this song with it.

The first real ski chase I saw was in On Her Majesty's Secret Service. I love the jump at the end of Spy Who Loved Me as I'm sure all of you did!

There should be a soundtrack for this movie with ALL of the music from the movie, including the Pyramids with the narrator. (who was he?) I liked that scene. The one thing on the soundtrack I don't get is: why during the Pyramids track they switch over to the Max Kalba Club and then back to the scene where Bond fights off those two Russian henchmen who "exceeded their orders". Loved that car, though. Major Amisova / XXX and Naomie were HOT! I liked that gal who was at the front desk at the hotel ;) :) Good Movie, though :)

the New Bonds movies of the new movies Suck since there were no Ski Chases which really made the bond movies exciting

I think he just means there are no more over-the-top action sequences; Craig's films all aim towards realism.
