Here's some instances where the Brooklyn Nine-Nine squad committed ACTUAL CRIMES!
From Brooklyn Nine-Nine, the NBC series revolving around Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), a New York City Police Department (NYPD) detective in Brooklyn's fictional 99th Precinct, who often comes into conflict with his commanding officer, the serious and stern Captain Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher). The heists alone would make an hour long video on their crimes. Pimento on his rap sheet also has drug use (which Holt even procured for him and watched him take it). Kevin and Rosa also done for impersonating an officer when rescuing Holt and Jake from O'Sullivans (which they were there by impersonating utility workers to steal and break into his laptop). Jake, Rosa, Holt, and Pimento leaving the 99 likely brought down crime a lot in Brooklyn.

True😂 Also Gina forging the coroner’s signature and forcing Amy to stamp it to verify Pimento’s “death certificate “. And the episode when they were in Florida and Gina stole/drove a random truck with Captain Holt to go save the 99 then crashed into the criminal as he was about to flee😂😭😭😂

Man I never thought about this, but it makes sense, especially when you consider his time in prison. Then Rosa's reasoning for leaving would've also had an impact. Like I think by the end with all his experiences he just couldn't be a part of the system anymore. Rosa mirrors it by leaving for the same reasons, and given that they came up together in the academy and were thick as thieves, is just all adds up to me. I think if he didn't have Mac, he'd have still left eventually, maybe not when he did but he would've

@@gordonwalden5961 I dunno if that's a change of heart 😂 I don't think Boyle would've supported Jake helping him escape at all, I don't think he'd have turned him in though. They charged her with the wrong crime. Possession of a flamethrower is legal in every state except Maryland and California, where it is a restricted weapon. The correct one would be assault with a deadly weapon. The penalty would depend on the amount of damage the victim suffered. If he is mostly unharmed, she would probably be looking at a max of 4 years. She also could definitely be sued by the victim. She may also face charges of reckless endangerment of the public due to her swinging that flamethrower around. That carries a max of 7 years.

Sadly drinking cement isn’t technically a crime. It’s a simple prank. Nice try though

Gina playing that prank isn’t a crime though? And it’s not really assault so it’s not something she would actually be charged for

It is assault. Just not battery which some people conflate with assault.

@@TheDisplacerBeast You've got that backwards. Battery is actual physical harm. Assault is just announcing the intention to do harm.

@@alphanerd7221 its different depending on where you are, where i live assault is just behaviour that could be deemed offensive regardless of the harm done. So if someone is afraid of spiders, another person deliberatly dumping a box of spiders on them could count as assault, even though they werent actually harmed it caused them a lot of distress. This is what i was counting the cement as. Given they all spat it out, it could be argued none of them came to harm, however they certainly were caused distress. Battery here is a really high bar. You need to show not only physical contact, but also lasting damage. My apologies, i should have worded my comment more clearly.

Well no. Especially in the last season, thw show calls out police officers abusing their power. Even jake is held accountable for massively screwing up. When any of the characters mess up, beyond just being lighthearted sitcom comedy, they are held accountable and are made aware that they screwed up

@@alphanerd7221 there’s nothing to “see through” lol. I like what I say so I like my comment. Now if you want to debate the legal implications of police failing to report a crime, you’re more than welcome to stay and continue. But if you’re just going to try (and fail) to humiliate me by pointing out the obvious, then i think I’ll end this conversation
