The Gadagme chiefs have to come together and change every area and place in Accra with the real names of places and not the short cuts that has spread ,I want my children and grandchildren to know the truth. Please stop the other countries in Ghana trying to claim the Ga lands for themselves.

These are great history of the Ga,s that must of us did not know. Accra has given every Ghanaian the chance to make fortunes for themselves and their families but at the same time it has make a lot of problems for the Ga land the Ga kings and it people. The Kings / chiefs of Nima should claim their land and relocate the inhabitants to some of their other land in the outskirt of Accra this will help clean Accra and make the whole capital like the Dubia some ghanians are running to The relocation of the market is a great improvement of the city of Accra not just for Ga,d but for the whole country

It is very sad that so many of us dont understand our history and culture which creates an environment of fear and distrust even unecessary animosity. We need to look at these matters in a holistic manner. By some vicissitude Accra became the capital and with it there are both advantages and disadvantages. This has nothing to do with the attitude of the Ga people but circumstances. It is not dissimilar to say the transatlantic slave trade. In which location, west Africa and south west Africa's proximity to the Caribbean, South and north america was a big determinant in those events too. More so than the attitude of our ancestors in those days. A commercial and administrative capital will attract all types of people this is inevitable and such movements are almost unstoppable. This is what has happened to Accra. But if we look at our culture we find that Ghanaians are accommodating and this is something that existed long before europeans arrived. An example to cite will be the Akuapem state. Its core is Akwapem Akan but it has also absorbed, Ga, Ga Adangme, Guan (the Larteh) and their king in fact comes from Akyem Abuakwa. With all the other ethnic groups having representation through chiefs. A diverse and welcoming state ! This was the old Ghana a diverse and welcoming place. But we seem to have lost some of those ideas in a drive for modernism. So just as the Ga cannot be wholly blamed for not anticipating this situation nor can it rest with the influx of people from Ghana and beyond searching for a way to make a living from our prosperous capital. I dont think it is too late to address some of these issues with amicable solutions. Where documentation such as the one read from in this video exists upon authentication such matters can be much more easily dealt with But please do not come on here to breed hatred

Very good! If Odoi Kwao bought this said Akanetso lands ( ie asylum down, Nima, dzorwulu and it’s environs) which today are under the jurisdiction of Osu, from Ga Mantse, then it tells you Ga Mantse owns the region, contrary to what La elders are alleging.

Thanks Ablade Tv for another thought provoking expose. I like the steadfastness on Nii Odai Kwao and it's not just talking but with the documented evidence. Yet again we have another Ga elder ( Gbese ) undermining the apple cart which the tenants obviously would like to exploit to undermine the authentic story. Thank goodness the Court documents are at hand and they should be digitised to be preserved. The next step WILL be to change the name to the original 'Nii Mang'. Later we're going to change the name Kotoka Airport too. Let's claim our right-'ful' Heritage!

Honestly I am a bit angry about what this old man is saying. They shouldn't have given any of these land to these people. They will bring a lot of their people and form illegal unity and take your land, same as Zongo, medina, and even kasoa market. Never ever be Merciful on them. I now understand the asante brothers and sisters for refusing them.

Only a strong government can resolve Accra's problems. General Ankrah could have but did not. Rawlings too could have and did not. To eliminate slums in Accra, like 9 miles radius should be declared no settler slums allowed. Such low class structures can be made to relocate to 15 miles radius areas. I support what this Head of family is persuing! I am not Ga!

Why sell lands to Gas as lease ,why? isn't Ga- Adangbe lands for them. Please be serious, only sell land as lease to foreigners. Gas should buy their lands as freehold. Also why has lands Dept shut their eyes on people who have built houses encroaching on roads, therefore no thoroughfare to their properties.eg.around Laterbiokorshie Russia area. How can they develop their lands ? Seriously.please help?. Thanks.

The reasons for the kotoko's is that, in the olden days when you surrender peacefully with the asanti army, they welcome you to be part of the great ashanti empire therefore gives you kotoko.( the mother kotoko is asante ) then they attached your tribe to it.
