The fact that Pinkie Pie's voice actress name-dropped bronies in character haunts me at night. Also, I love that apparently Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie and Spike officially have driver's licenses.

I gotta say, out of all MLP 2010s toy ads, my favorite has to be the one advertising the hot air balloon. I love the opening to it being Applejack, not even voiced by Ashleigh, saying "it's twilight sparkle's balloon!" in the most hideous impression of a cowgirl I have EVER heard, it's so goofy to me. The yellow mouse in the pinkie car commercial was probably the pet that came with the toy- a lot of early mlp toys had generic pets that weren’t anyone’s actual pets come with them, and mice were one of the more common ones

You forgot to mention the commercials for the My Little Pony Mare-a-thon they did! After all of the episodes for FIM at the time had aired, the hub aired some of the Generation 3 and G3.5 specials. Pinkie Pie was hosting the Mare-a-thon, and openly acknowledged her G3 self and Rainbow Dash's G3 self as "how they used to look back then." That will forever be my favorite promo from when I was a kid, and I wish they had done it more often with Gen 1 as well, though I think Gen 1 was going through some serious copyright issues at the time. The hub network had some fun personality to their promos, and the little crossover commercials gave off the same energy as a child playing with their toys or actors getting together and hanging out on set. I'm glad I got to experience watching the hub as a kid, and that some of the personality lingered in Discovery Family's early life. If cable TV wasn't dead/dying, I 100% believe that the hub would've stayed and we'd have G5 promos in a similar way now.

Was wondering if you'd mention the "Guardians of Harmony" toy commercial that played around the mid to late 2010s. I specifically remember it because they were advertising it like boys action figures, with less a vibe of "My Little Pony! How adorable!" And more of "My Little Pony! Hell yeah!" It was very surreal and out of place for a My Little Pony toy commercial.

I only recently got into MLP so haven't seen any of these commercials but I can only imagine the shock of hearing completely different VA's doing official voices for the character's you grew up with out of nowhere lol. That "come fly with me" was so out of character for Celestia, I guess the show needed to sell toys to survive but wow I can see why people think MLP is a super girly show with ads like that lmao.

Since I grew up watching Mlp a lot on TV, I saw a lot of these commercials and advertisements. They still live in my brain and I can easily remember them, especially the ones from the Hub Network's era. It was so fun reminiscing a lot seeing you talk about them.

What I find funny about "My Little Joanie" is "Happy Days" is currently under the ownership of Paramount, which explains why the commercial never aired. Jumping ahead to December 15, 2015 and Paramount and Hasbro officially joined forces to create the Hasbro Cinematic Universe. I always really enjoy the My Little Pony commercials, because there are so many creatives ones, and even though I've watched a bunch of them I still learned about even more here and that's awesome! The spanish one really surprised me, I had no idea it existed. It's basically a collab with a store called Pepeganga. Very strange indeed... Also, I think the Equestria Girls song is still my favorite ad, it's just peak early 2010s.

You've got to love My Little Pony commercials! I grew up watching The Hub Network and then Discovery Family when the name changed, from 2012 to 2018 and I saw some odd but entertaining commercials during that time. I would rather have odd commercials than boring ones any day!

i have no much nostalgia for the Equestria Girls commercial, i remember back then me and my friends were all excited at the mention of bronies! simpler times... also i can't get over the Game of Thrones one, you're absolutely right that it looks like a fan-made project (i mean that in the most loving way possible!), like it's just so well edited but also such a bizarre concept that i didn't think they'd allow legally. but i'm glad it exists!
