In this film a grown man while limping and holding a gun, walks through the forest to find his gf while there's a running car next to him after the killer walked off. Then he holds a gun to the killers head and manages to get knocked off after teasing to shoot her for a full 2 min😂

Dude yes!!! I kept yelling “shoot her!!!” And he never did. They sure as hell aren’t hesitant about killing him, why should he. Also, in that scene, he spews some stupid nonsense about “they say your first kill is the hardest…”

Living in Oregon and seeing this the night it came out was great. Especially hearing everyone’s gasp at the beginning of the film when they read “Somewhere in Oregon” 😂

Completely agree with everything you said! It was basically false advertising in the trailer “witness how the strangers became the strangers” because we got nothing new from the movie…definitely didn’t explain how they became to be. Complete trash. Soooo bad! Also, how is this a prequel to the first Strangers when they have iPhones and FaceTime in this? Those things weren’t invented yet.

The Strangers didn’t really need a remake or prequel to begin with. The whole plot twist of the movie was already revealed in the original film that wasn’t released too long ago. It was a losing battle.

i feel you. the 2008 original was a 10/10 for me, one of the best movies i’ve ever watched, scared the shit out of me when i first watched it. but this movie was just not it. it was only like an hour and a half yet felt like 3 hours. characters make dumb decisions and we don’t even get a backstory on the strangers. it’s quite literally a remake of the first one, just worse in every possible way

I think the worst thing they can do for this franchise is give the killers a motive. And although my girlfriend and I didnt HATE this movie, why do i have this sneaking suspicion they will explain the origin of the killers and “Tamra” will be their little brother/son or something that was killed by some white collar new york drunk driver or something and now they’re just out on vengeance for anybody from the east coast or big cities

I actually like it. Anything strangers is a must watch so I appreciate it. Female cast was really good. Cabin setting got me in official summer mood. Not much you can go around the universe and there’s still two other movies which aren’t really subject to hate. Internet is stupid. We’re in so much of a drought that we praise a thanksgiving horror movie….what are we doing here..

I never regretted spending my money on a movie because I somehow always enjoy movies whether the script is good or not however this film had me regretting the money I spent. I felt it was boring, predictable, and it didn’t feel like it belongs with the rest of the films

What I meant to say is he only reviews a movie only if a 12 year old can understand it, meaning you will never see him reviewing a small independent movie. And whenever it becomes popular to hate on a specific movie he will join the bandwagon just so he won't be left out. He will even lie about the movie hoping to earn points from that crowd. For example when Jigsaw came out, he not only hate on the movie just because at the time it was popular to hate it but also lied saying the movie is a huge box office failure. The budget is 10 million and made more then 100 million, that counts as a box office success and the REASON why they made another Saw movie. And when he acts like this he most likely not being honest with himself. Here is a good example. He says he likes the 2008 movie Superhero Movie. The reason why he is able to like it because he doesn't have a youtube channel in 2008. I remember in 2008 it was really popular to hate on Superhero Movie, I felt like I was the only person who likes it when I saw it in 2008. If he has a youtube channel in 2008 he would have joined the bandwagon hate on Superhero Movie. The reason why he didn't join in on the hate because in 2008 he didn't have a youtube channel. He is such a follower. It's not that mindblowing to me that he didn't review I Saw the TV Glow.

I've always wanted to see the strangers origins over the years since seeing the original watching stuff on KZfaq the closest I've seen was on this one KZfaq channel man I gotta find out it's been a while but they have lots of shows but there's one that about a couple of killers that do just like the strangers do they come home afterwards they live in a gated community and all the families in this community are all killers relatively same masks do same stuff but go to different places terrorizing people this couple has a daughter they trying to get into the action they do get her involved and it's very strangers like though she's still conflicted and even gets interested in the guys they terrorizing lol dang gotta find that again lol love everything with the strangers in it lol

im still gonna hold my excitement until all 3 are released bc according to madelaine petsch all 3 movies take place over the span of 5 days and the next 2 movies are suppose to be something completely different from what we've seen before and she even said how chapter 1 is a literal retelling of the 2008 movie and chapters 2 and 3 are where it takes a completely new turn. so im gonna hold onto hope for these movies bc i loved the first 2.

the scariest thing about The Strangers is how ordinary everything is and the lack of sound is a big part of that, just like A Quiet Place where the soundless scenes are so scary, removing that aspect was a huge mistake 🙄

The part that took me out the movie was the shower scene. The killer just appears and disappears as if he was a ghost. He literally disappeared out of thin air. No way of seeing him coming down the hall or exiting. It’s so unrealistic and took me out the movie. And the characters are so stupid like funny bad.

You mention that you’ve seen how the director handles jumpscares and kills and I agree, in this film they suck. But I still remember that one chair kill from Prison and have fond memories of Deep Blue Sea as one of the very few fun campy shark films. What happened Renny?

I liked it and I’m excited to see where it’s going to go. The suspense was there and effective. However, I have also had my house broken into, obviously not to the extent of the stranger, before and it is a scary thing. There was only one part where I was yelling at the movie screen 😂

...i gotta re-watch the 2008 version now to see if it'll change my opinion of this new one. But that's 1 thing I do remember from the Original, they MASTERED the Suspense and Dread really well. I think this new version was alright.. but maybe it's cuz i haven't seen the original in over 15 years

You're right about that... I don't feel like this was Rated R at all. They didn't show much to up the rating to R. I was a bit confused tho... like why the people in the Diner were so determined to get them to stay in town, and with that specific house.. like were they possibly in on it too? Or are those Strangers just completely on their own?
