Trifone Walter Ferrante is the maestro behind Bari Food Cart, a small operation he runs in Portland, OR that serves a delicacy from southern Italy: panzerotti. Walter’s passion for food and hospitality started at a young age back in Italy and brought him to the states where he worked in many restaurants as a server. Once the idea came to make and serve panzerotti, hand-held fried turnovers that are known all around the city of Bari, he knew he had to make it happen. Walter’s panzerotti are filled with the best ingredients he can find, like fresh mozzarella, house-made pesto, tomatoes, peppers, and much more. His passion and love for his customers have made his food cart a hit in Portland.

I don't know if he is really exagerating the accent, because it seems like he is transposing the (strong) accent of his dialect to english. His italian accent would be as strong as the english one from his dialect I guess

This is up the street from my house and I never knew about it. Stopped by after watching this. He was sold out and said "thank you for coming to see me today was fucking crazy! The youtube is driving me fucking nuts. I need more space for more food for everybody!" Can't wait to try this soon.

Really happy for him! Hope he'll grow larger in his activity, wish him best luck by an Italian fella here! If you wanna give him a smile say to him "se Parigi avesse il mare sarebbe una piccola Bari" (if Paris was on the seaside, it would be like a little Bari), I'm sure he'll appreciate; it's a way of saying from Bari made popular by an Italian actor called Lino Banfi. (You can check on Google translate for pronunciation!)

We love Walter! Such a friendly, genuine guy. I always bring my born-in-Puglia mom here when she visits. The panzerotti are excellent-- great dough, perfectly cooked (I prefer it traditional, just mozzarella and tomato).

@@1will2kill I take its because of the rampant corruption in other countries. Look at Mexico for example, a country rich in resources, yet under the firm grip of Cartels. A man can make his food there but wages are low, crime is rampant, and the police are corrupt.

I once hadn’t seen Walter for a few months and he noticed my dog had lost weight. He is the most valuable type of person in the world. Glad he’s getting the recognition he deserves. If you like salty fish like you should, try the one with anchovies and capers, it’s incredible.

Oh yes He is I went to Italy 10 years ago with my daughter. It was her quinceañera present and we had the best time of our lives. Such passionate and beautiful people, we felt right at home. We have so much in common and it wasn’t hard to get around. Being a native Spanish speaker we had no trouble communicating. I’d love to go back once again. Ciao bellissima Italia 🇮🇹
