I love this video because it has all of these details, and it's not only that it makes for a much more interesting watch than others but also it gives a glimpse into the enormous amount of work and knowledge involved in this mission. For every single one of these numbers (some mentioned here and thousands omitted), like the 0.1% gravity estimate difference, the 18cm/sec horizontal velocity that wasn't canceled, the way the rover jiggled after thruster activity… each one of those represents weeks of work by teams of people who first had to pore over the numbers and graphs and documents to discover each fact, then had long discussions about how to address the mistake, proposed, rated, ordered multiple solutions and evaluated the best ones, implemented the fixes and had to update their simulators to handle more cases, more uncertainty - all the while having to keep in mind the potential impact (known with +/- uncertainty) and unknown that making a change would have on their part of the mission and the whole. It's truly an awe-inspiring mission and an engineering marvel. Absolutely amazing!

I was sent to this channel be friends in the Nasa Spaceflight (Next Spaceflight) discord community, just after NASA released the landing footage of M2020. Your video was so incredibly well researched and despite thinking I knew a fair bit about what was going on, I think I learned something new about every 10 seconds of your video. thank you so much for the time you took to research it. Please do more and please drop into the discord some time!

I know you're a busy man, but I wish you would do more content. I'm always happy to watch your beautifully detailed and highly welcomed videos. The ballast weight on these EDL stages really needs to consist of useful devices, rather than just dead weight. Because of their positioning, a marginal increase in volume wouldn't be a hindrance. Because of their jettison altitude, they'd be ideal for getting exceptionally high resolution 3D topographical scans of the rover's planned route(s).

Very good explanations. Funnily enough, at 17' 23", we clearly see the 8 engines of the skycrane burning while the rover descent.

Excellent level of information density in this article. It's not too "dumbed down" and slow; and it's not too technical and boring. Just what I was looking for.
