My father was a Assembly of God preacher before I came along, and my entire family was very religious, ...except for me. As I've gotten older, I appreciate the good people that are--like this gentleman and his family, regardless of my own lack of faith. I hope to do a Texas road trip for food and a few distillery stops along the way, and would love to stop at this place along the way.

Texas, now you know why we are Texians through and through. We are all God's children. Thank God for this family and his family providing great food on the Sabine.

I know what it is to loose someone by senseless gun violence... I have been with this channel for years, and this was one of the most genuine and heartfelt stories... I have not been in Texas since the 1980's when I was in the military... but I have always admired this great state and it's good people... this family exemplifies what Texas is... may God bless them and keep watch over them... and Shane!
