One time, while I was hosting at Cracker Barrel, I was sharing with a guest about Niagra Falls (as he went there too) and he immediately went: "NIAGRA FALLS! Slowly I turned....." I joined him for the gag. He made my work night awesome!

I’ve seen Lucy do it, and it was performed on Abbott and Costello’s tv show, but they used The Susquehanna Hat Company as the trigger. I’m sure many others have done it, also.

Every afternoon I looked forward to the 3 Stooges. Just as I had Captain Kangaroo when I was younger. They indeed were an oasis from a brutal father. Still love them. My one daughter was in a college class when her professor started singing "Swinging the Alphabet". My daughter of course chimed in and was the only student to do so. Her prof told her she had a good childhood :)

I was raised on this bit and it’s just second nature to go into the “slowly I turned” bit whenever anyone says niagra falls around me. Barely anyone ever knows what I’m talking about and it kind of makes me sad when I have to explain myself.

I was working at a casino a few years ago. One of the other techs was talking about some kind of trip and she outright mentioned Niagara Falls, and without skipping a beat I went into the bit, yelling and everything. Everyone in the shop was _dying_ from the routine.

1972 Suburban Boston in the winters , Stooges every day on Channel 38. When the weather was nice, we were outside. Winter was 3 or 4 friends over and a black and white POS TV in the den.

I miss these guys. Fond memories for sure growing up. They were reruns in the 70s, but they still entertained my generation. Pure entaintanment with the likes of The Little Rascles, George Burns and Gracie Allen, I love Lucy, etc... classics.

reminds me of this fellow at a senior residence i worked at. but HIS ''niagra falls'' was ''waste water.'' everytime we talked about wasting water he's mention the sewerage plant he worked at and would take out his business card and say ''I'm retired but so-and-so'' still works there. he''ll be able to help with your issue.'' lol RIP Gerry

This definitely ranks up there with some of the greats. Along with: Abbott and Costello's Who's on first Groucho Marx's mirror act Lucy and the chocolates.

When I was a kid, the family channel used to have a three hour block at night. I used to watch it all the time. My brothers got me the vhs volumes of the three stooges.
