6 ай бұрынSheepscombe lies in a narrow valley in the Cotswolds, east of Painswick. Over time the English Village has undergone several major changes.
Five hundred years ago it was sparsely populated and used as a deer park and hunting ground. The modern village originated in the seventeenth century, developing on the back of agriculture and the growing textile trade.
The nineteenth century, however, brought a period of industrial decline, and Sheepscombe suffered from increasing poverty and a falling population.
Since that time, its population has been revived once again and today it is a vibrant community, although no longer the working village that it used to be.

Not really! Blessing isnt getting every luxury in the world but it is securing the hereafter i feel sad for them causw they live their life without knowing Allah( God) the purpose of life is to worship Allah many sikhs are reading quran translation in hindi and english do read too❤

Whilst it is a practical alternative to use public phone boxes as a place for locals to exchange books, incredibly, there are still 20,000 in use and a staggering 5 million calls are made from them each year!!

They can go from £750,000 -1 MILLION+ But they are snapped up soon as they come on the open market by rich foreigners/Actors/Politicians and used for 2nd homes.And some of them are termed as "ghost villages" because they are only used for a couple of months a year..

@@jamescampbell8845 I know it should be a crime not living in them I bought my cottage for £270,000K but it was delapidated and had never had an upgrade since 1920's so there was Rot,Mold,Damp but with these kinds of cottages they are LISTED BUILDINGS GRADE 1 or 2 and you've got to jump through hoops to get things done.And when you replace something it's got to be like for like and it becomes very expensive but luckily I had family members who has a construction business who helped me otherwise i would of been screwed because I didn't realise what I got myself into and I don't think I would do that again..
