good video Duane. it's always good to be reminded of these things. you mentioned theft...maybe you can speak to how to handle situations where you feel unsafe or in imminent danger. i know it can be a controversial subject to talk about but i also think it's a big reason why some people don't go RVing.

Thanks for that suggestion. I may try to make a video that expands a little more on the subject of feeling safe as an RVer. But for now, my best advice is to trust your gut. If you feel uncomfortable for any reason where you are, I would follow that feeling and find another campsite right away. Your gut often knows better than your brain in many situations like this. Having said that, we have been all over this country and have camped in all kinds of places. So far, we have never felt unsafe or in danger. I hope that helps.

great video but also important for weekend warriors not just full timers. its also nice to have a big bottle of bear spray . i always have mine in my pocket when refueling as i have had people approach while refueling and caught me off guard . thx for posting.

I test my detectors with a propane torch, just open the valve closet to them, I don’t trust the test buttons, they can fail from moisture, cold and heat. Great information video !

Excellent video. I just bought an RV and I will be purchasing these items. Do you have a recommendation for an automatic fire suppression system? Something you can just place behind the refrigerator or next to the batteries/electrical system?

You forgot high camping fees.. at least $1000 a month, so you have to work a high paying job, which means no travel to beautiful places.

High camping fees can be a problem for many. But we are Thousand Trails membership owners and our nightly fees are somewhere in the $3 - $4 range. It's the single best choice we have made to be able to continue fulltime RVing. I have often recommended considering a Thousand Trails membership on this channel to those who are thinking about fulltime RV life.

What’s an LP detector? Nice it was pointed out but what is it?

Good question Paige. An LP detector is usually found on the wall inside your RV close to the floor. It's usually rectangular and will say that it's an LP detector on it. The RV builders have gotten good at disguising them, so look carefully on your walls and installed furnishings like kitchen islands and bed platforms and you should find it pretty easily. Unfortunately my schedule is jam packed for the foreseeable future now. But there are plenty of other NRVIA inspectors that I'm sure could do a fine job for you though. Just visit nrvia.org and select "Find An Inspector". Then you can view all of the local inspectors on the map there and contact them about their availability. Any certified NRVIA inspector has the necessary training to provide a top quality RV inspection for you. I usually recommend choosing the one that you feel most comfortable with. We were staying with our son and his family for a few weeks before we left for our trip back to the western part of the US. And the only spot I could make a video was in their dining room. And it was totally hard floors and walls. So I apologize for the echo, but the good news is that my upcoming videos will be back in our RV again. Thanks for watching!

I know how to set a TPMS for tire pressure but how do you set it for tire temperature

We have a TireMinder TPMS system and it reports on both tire pressure and temperature. You might check your owners manual to see if your system reports on tire temperature or not.
